I like Ron Paul, will probably vote for him, but wish he would re think being against e verify, it takes but 60 seconds for an emplyer to use. Also Ron has view we need to round up millions of illegals, and says that would never work. he is right, which is why no one is asking we round up millions of illegals, we are asking our laws be enforced and illegals will go home on own. regarding am I native american. Bachman surprised the heck out of me by commenting in the debate that our immigration system worked fine before it was changed in 1965 when the Immigration Act changed everything. That is powerful as nearly all Americans think the current immigration is natural, It is not, it is based entirely on policy enacted in 1965, combined with a complete lack of enforcement by the Feds regardless of who has been in office.

It's not even a smart move. :| They just alienate voters. Not gain them by doing that. Although they may not like it, the GOP is seen as "hostile" towards them 'cause of their likely race, which isn't true, but that's all that matters.

About the drug enforcement thing, Bush continued a line of Presidents who continued the War on Drugs. Which isn't an issue that has to do with anybody being Mexican. In fact, legalizing pot would stop violence at the border. But the guy is, like most of our leaders, pro-War on Drugs.

Those interesed in maintaing endless immigration would jhave you beleive there is no answer. there is an answer, there is only no leaders. There is little that can really be done about the immigration problem... it's one of those things that really has no solution.. here in Europe we have the same problem, in Spain, France, England... all rich countries of Europe are getting influx of immigrants... it's simple really, people want to go where the grass seems better(no pun intended) what can really be done to stop immigration? bring about a total economic collapse where unemployment is huge.. I'm talking about 1920's style.

To say a nation can not or should not control its soverign borders is baffling. Eisenhower did it. It was called operation wetback. Sen Jordans immigration commission has 12 solutions, all untried. it is a RACKET

@mrhulot101 True, a more strict border policy would work to some extent, but you have to realise that there is many who desire immigrants, specially illegal ones. Many big companies benefit from having labourers that are not covered or protected by barely any law. That lets them have people who are willing to do the same jobs as everyone else for much less and to work many more hours(also have in mind that many of these immigrants many times these workers are already trained workforce).

Immigrants themselves should not be demonised, they only want to take or jobs , or those with territorial or religous grievances, our countries, the problems are those fellow citizens who pocket the profits and pass on all the economic,environmemtal and social costs. some do not benefit economically, but get to wear a moral crown by showing they love "others" more than us.
