In my opinion they were not to loud they were perfect I think.. Why should they not use soul it sounds a lot better than the country version, Don't get me wrong I love country but this has got to be one of the best duets I have heard in here with that song including Alicia & Adam.... Better than the rolling stones by far !!!!!! Singers these days don't sing with any feeling like in the 50's , The guys are amazing :)

First of all, I think you did a good job; however, if I could offer some constructive criticism.

First, this song is more "country" than "soul", so I would avoid that "influence" on it.

Second, you have amazing voices, I feel you don't need to sing so loud. :-)

The only thing I'd recommend for Jen is to sing a little louder when you sing in the lower registers or stick to the higher ones. When you started on the second verse ("I watched you suffer...") your voice kinda dropped out as you got lower.

Either that or it's the sound quality of my speakers.
