  • really funny-- the little boys face says it all lol x

  • If his mother is a Jew....then so is he!

  • Hey, Jesus kept kosher so why shouldn't ? Jesus went to THE temple on Chanukah too! Feast of Dedication means Feast of Chanukah! Read Matthew 5: 17-20, Jesus clearly says we are to keep the Law and the Commandments !!!

John 10:22-22 And it was at Jerusalem the feast of the dedication, and it was winter.

And Jesus walked in the temple in Solomon's porch.

  • Yeah, the ads kind of ruin it.

  • This is awesome!

  • @maguska It's easy to tell who is retard and ugly! Read Bible, read history books... read...read!!!

  • This kid's parents had the right idea. All the world's problems fall away in the face of a good shagging... er, I mean love. Yeah, love. That's what I meant. Oh god I wish my backspace button weren't broken.

  • This is cute. Amazing that one of Rochesters worst and most confused stations (WARM 101.3) played something this good.

  • ahahah I love this!!!

  • Do what I do: Celebrate Christmas with a kosher meal, just as you would any other holiday. That said, I'm not especially religious so it's easy to join in various celebrations without taking anything too seriously. But keeping kosher is as much a health choice for me anyway (cleaner food IMO).

  • Here's what I consider the "better idea."

    Forget about relgion; Affirm Republicanism.

  • Funny!

  • I Was Raied Cristian but am Doing Jewish Study as a Noahide and i have to say tho its not quite Kosher i LOVE this skit it made me laugh so hard my sides hurt.

  • In Jewish law it is said that if your mother was Jewish and your father not you are considered fully Jewish but if your father is Jewish and your mother is not you are considered only half Jewish I know this because I too am in a similar situation

  • Thank you for sharing.

  • The boy in this video is great.

  • Good video.

  • nice song love and peace !And plz try to not kill Jesus next time he comes plz?

  • (from a British-born secular Israeli:) I'm saddened at the assimilation and resulting confusion that are evidently typical of Jews and half-Jews in the USA - but hey, the humour here is great!

  • hahaha im half christian half jewish aswell

    D:

    funny vid :D

  • Don't touch pork, not even with a fork! Hahahaha, the rapping Rabbis from the Simpsons.

  • Watching this was very Sad, I have a tear in the corner of my eye, being Jewish and seeing this!!! this is the core of the American Jewish Society, assimilation - this is just one outcome, how about which to observe Saturday or Sunday, do we go to a synagogue or to a church, when we visit the holy land (Israel) do we go to the Kotel (Western Wall) or go to the Christian sites, and so on and so on...confused, it's just the beginning.

  • @israellipy I recently saw a picture of a "pine tree" stuck in the middle of the land. What an abomination. With cities trying to outlaw circumcision and sunday closure laws back in effect in europe, wouldn't antioch epiphanies be proud. I find it simply heart-wrenching that the IDF are on the boarders fighting those who want to kill Israelis and they turn around to find the "golden calf" in the middle of town. Israel is under attack from without AND within.

  • @elskid206 circumcision is barbaric and should be outlawed. ancient genital mutilation rituals from long-lost desert tribes has no place in the realm of the soul.

  • My Mother is Jewish, my Father was a Catholic, this is funny !

  • Better yet, do what we do, celebrate neither!

  • it's cute, but in reality I don't envy anyone in that position. Too confusing.

  • WARM 101.3 Continuous Soft Rock.

  • Hah! This is too funny! And a star of David on top the Christmas tree! Great job and good sense of humor. I love the looks on the kid's face...

  • Im a Christian and I love the Jews

  • ( thats not a kosher menorah) but this is soo funny

  • Brill

  • Very funny love it!!

  • THANK YOU!!!! BRAVO!!!

  • Comment removed

  • The Lord love all his creation, but I think its nice to try to find out how to make him happy ( I know he's perfect but we have some "power" in making him happier)

  • pls go to THESEASON ORG.....and learn to read the bible with understand ...this does not try to change your faith in any way it just teaches you with understanding.....BY THE WAY JUST TO LET YOU KNOW CHRISTIANS ARE NOT TO EAT PORK.....it says it in the new testment christians are not to eat pork ...you will understand it in the greek .....at THESEASON ORG

  • Very funny :)

  • Yes you should but make sure you do it on september twentytwoooo (jesus real B day) (Yeshua) Tabernacles!

  • Lovely video

  • lol merry khristmas. adorable

  • adorable

  • really very nice, thank you

    (the chorus sucked tho)

  • It is VITAL to remember that BOTH HANNUKAH and the BIRTH OF CHRIST are based on ACTUAL HISTORICAL EVENTS - so by all means, CELEBRATE BOTH, ONE AFTER THE OTHER !

  • @NECHOII

Historical events like the birth of jesus christ ... yeah right :P

Did you know the world is flat? ^^

  • Judaism and Christianity have a lot in common...so much so that Islam hates Jews and Christians collectively. Just delineates the good vs. evil, the age old battle humanity is embroiled in. And heck, I wouldn't want to be on the Islamic side according to prophecy describing the things that have yet to come...

  • @adlsp

This was the best statement to this wonderful video. We infidels must all unite.

  • GREAT VIDEO!!!!! A very tasteful way to make a rally good point!!! This is why marrying out of your faith is a BAD idea!!!!

  • Great clip. I wish all the "commercials" weren't in there. Is there a version without the "download now" etc?

  • pooch1918 Keeping Kosher for Christmas? Is not Christmas Pagan? Christmas is not in the Bible, but Christmas tree's are.(Jeremiah 10:2-4) You may as well eat yeast on the Days Of Unleavened Bread?

  • so thats what jews half snad niggers whos that packy at the start.i think i got jewish in me,wasnt hitler part jewish.

  • @woody19791 Yeah like the Israelis sending the best field hospital to Haiti.

    Moron.

  • Very nice.

  • great video!

that's why jews should marry with jews and christians with christians!

  • Jewish people can be destinguished by their deceitfulness. It is a state of mind, a way of life. They take, take, take, and give only back to their own people. To promote only their own people. They developed this system years and years ago. Thats why they get in trouble thats why the world hates them.

  • @woody19791 - Whats it like being retarded???

  • slot of people do get mad because we help each other out that is called community something i see many other people lack so instead of hating others gain the copasity of giving love no one is stopping you from gaining a sense of community with your people

  • @woody19791 Please disregard my prior comment. I have nothing against the Jews. In fact I only know one Jew from work and I was upset because he was smarter than me. He got the promotion and I got fired. Humans always need someone to blame I guess. I see the hurt my comment caused and im truly sorry...

  • LOL excellent video! Down here is Jerusalem, identity is always a good topic for jokes : ) A very creative version of hanukiah too, I want one like that!

  • It's funny =)

  • Say all you wish, but not get to serious. This is one of the nicest, most decent and affectionate little skits I have ever seen. And it shows all of us, that here in America, the Christians and the Jews DO get along. And, enough of this feeble nonsense, from the "old country-"

I love this skit, and hy "HAT" (Yarmulke) goes off to you for having made this!

  • awesome

    keep kosher for chrismas

  • cool

  • Can anybody remove what DeathMetalShredd666 posted? As a follower of Jesus of Nazareth (the Jew), I am deeply offended by his "joke." It's not funny.

    The video IS entertaining.

  • celebrate both, you get more presents that way :)

  • The Star of Solomon is NOT kosher either! It's a symbol of witchcraft from Egypt (and the symbol of the wicked Rothschild family). Jews ought to consider using a Torah scroll as their official symbol of their faith instead. As a Jew I boycott that star! It has nothing to do with King David either. Furthermore, celebrate both holidays, both are holy! Keeping kosher is a choice based on G-d wanting to keep His people healthy. Early Christians I believe did not eat pork or unclean things either.

  • if your mama is jew then ur ajew as well. period.

  • Tell me about the confusion. My Jewish roots were hidden from me till I was 17 yrs old. My mom wasn't too pleased that I found out. At least now I would understand why my physical appearance was so different from most white Americans & why people were always asking me what ethnicity I am. The more I read the Bible the more I learn about my roots & I can embrace my heritage while still serving Jesus Christ; and yes he was a Jew.

  • What's the difference between a jew and a pizza?

A pizza doesn't scream in the oven.

    hahha

  • @DeathMetalShredd666 Whats the difference between a Jew and a common people like you, an average 117 IQ points, while the others have 100.

  • Jesus not jew retards!

Jesus are son of God! ugly jews

  • @Maguska11 Jesus is one, there are not many Jesus. So you cant say: "Jesus are".

More over his mother was Jewish hence both by Christianity and by Judaism he is Jewish. But I dont realy care Im an atheist, I dont deny Jesus, I think he was a great person, non racist like you, and not the son of god of whom I dont believe.

  • funny

  • I am pagan, many of my good friends are Jewish, some are Muslim, Baha'i even Scientologist, my husband is a secular Catholic. I celebrate Yule and Christmas, and Hannuckha and Eid. I see ABSOLUTELY nothing wrong being dual-faithed or dual-cultured. I take SERIOUS offense when people use "pagan" as a negative, it's much like anti-semitism.

  • @RodrigueMoore jews are GODS chosen people-better than eveyone else.

  • awsome

    hahaha

  • Good Jewish humor!

  • Christmas is Pagan!! Yeshua was born around the time of Sukkot

  • This is cute, but actually very sad. The poor boy has no real identity.

He should know that according to Jewish Law he is Jewish. Not half=Jewish, but Jewish.

  • @birmington but isnt he christian according to his father?

  • @evg11311 No. According to Jewish law, one's religion is that of his mother, unless he has undergone conversion to Judaism.

  • @birmington I know about jewish laws, i live in israel.. but i asked about christianity...

  • @evg11311 Lots of Xtians live in Israel. This clip is all about being Jewish. And the fellow is Jewish. No more and no less.

  • @birmington ok.:)

  • just had a Purim party in my school in israel. i think it's really difficult for all the jews out there who live in christian countries - many jewish holidays are just boring that way, when only few people celebrate with you.

Happy Purim for all the jews out there!!! have fun!

  • Всё смешалось в доме Облонских!...

  • Всё смешалось в доме Облонских....

  • 3. I just want to clarify that I don't see any wrong in celebrating Christmas by Christians of course... For other people at that time Jesus message was new and the closest to Judaism in social aspects. But for Jews it was not new and in addition we Jews have also other aspects in life in which religion and nationality are strongly embedded, as many of our holidays refer also historical events, as exodus from Egypt and Mt. Sinai revelation to the whole nation etc.

  • 2. ..And of course- I wonder what Jesus would think about it: After all his initial activity was among Jews, and Christianity as world wide religion was developed after his death. It is true that ALWAYS there were Jews who did not keep Mitzvot, and ups and downs in the nation's following religion, and internal debates; Finally, those who maintained religion kept their Jewish identity, while those who did not we lost to other peoples.

  • I wonder what Yehuda Ha-Maccabi would think of celebrating Hanuca like this...

--- however, the song and vid are funny, even if the question raised about the identity of the boy from mixed marriage is not so at all: After all, both holidays stand for totally different events, and in main subject- hold an opposite meaning and message. Holidays are not just family gathering and dining.

  • very funny a toi mon petit ima

  • I loved it! :)

Im living in Israel, I'm jewish but i have arab friends who are catholic so they celebrate xmas.

Usually after i celebrate Hanuka with the family, i go celebrate Xmas with the friends :-)

    Always fun to celebrate :)

    Peace ye'All

  • OY!!!! Such KVELCHING!! This is Kittywaymo.. your Yiddish/Mormon Jew. yes you heard correctly. Now Fellow Jews. LIGHTEN UP! This was a cute video and I think it's important we stick together as Jews in LOVE and UNDERSTANDING not CASTE SYSTEMS.

  • BreezyLOLOLOL!! I LOVE it!

  • This was great and OY so true.

  • JEWS ROCKSSSSSS!!!!

  • keeping kosher is a waste of time and energy, as are most religious activities, but this really was a great video

  • Most of Israelis are not religious anyway.

and Alot people celebrate Christmas in Israel also.

  • Hello, I live in Israel. According to recent polls, the majority of Israelis define themselves as traditional or religious. There are many Christians living in Israel. They celebrate Christmas. It is almost unheard of for Jews to celebrate Christmas.

  • I never said jews celebrate christmas, just like christians don't celebrate hanuka.

and most people in the world today (accept the Arabs) are spiritual but not religious.

  • @q1111w I live in Israel and none of us (jewish) celebrate Christmas!!

  • I didn't say Jews, there are Arab and Russian Christians that celebrate Christmas there, after all like you say Israel is a holy country for all religions.

  • Israel is not a holy country for Islam though all the prophets minus Mohammed in Islam were Jewish/sons of Israel. The cities of Mecca and then medina are Holy for Muslims.

  • But the Israelis say them selves that Israel is a holy land for all religions, Judaism, Christianity, and Islam.

i myself don't care because i believe in science not religion.

  • I believe in Science (evolution, cosmology) and One G-d. Only SOME Israeli's say that. The ones that do are brainwashed by the world's mantra. If one were to exercise a bit mroe cirtical thinking no one in Israel (or anywhere else) would profer such a matter.

  • if ur mother is jew thats mean that ur a jew

  • That was great!! Thank you! I'm Jewish ItalianLOL

  • @kittywaymo - one of my sons has a friend who is Jewish on her mother's side and Italian on her father's side - she calls herself a Jew-talian. Kinda catchy.

  • Comment removed

  • Keeping Kosher's tha Shit! :D

  • Muito interessante!Eu adorei!

  • *wishing she had a Jewish mama*

  • ..and by the way, please replace one burned out ceiling light bulb LOL

  • "...in the universe..." LOL I do not think so... but ...I wsh you all the best.

  • OY to the WORLD!! leaving aside some of the inane posts which people have had the kindness to either ignore or explain further to the posters.... I loved the video.. and will use it in mty classroom lessons of religious Education - a perfect discussion starter for "Religious Identity".. Shalom, toda raba [thanks a lot!!]

  • KosherCrooner, OY indeed!

I love it too, and thank YOU for sharing it in your classroom. Who said we can't have FUN together? :)

    Toda Raba!

  • well that is true if your mom is jewish then you are to

  • Its all BS. Your children will suffer with lost identity. just learn history of European Jews.

  • @mk181818, actually, children of mixed marriages have an identity all their own. In fact, we cashews (catholic-jews) are pretty much the coolest people in the universe.

  • This is an interesting way of shedding light on a situation that many, many , many people face now-a- days. ( the fact that Jesus was not born in December really does not matter here. It is the struggle people with/ or related to mixed religions have to face this time of year. )

  • Jesus wasn't even more this time of year. The only reason that early Christians choose December to celebrate the birth of Jesus was because the Pegan winter solstice was around that time, thus they wouldn't be persecuted. So really, the core of this song, and CHRISTMAS is WRONG!

  • *born

  • pieknie - to sie nazywa prawdziwy dialog narodow :) )) )))

  • You should go atheist

  • nice vid

  • nice vid.

The Menora isn't supposed to look like that...

    It's not Kosher...

  • @elinorwest Lighten up

  • Yes, Jesus was Jewish. And it's not latkees, it's LATKAS - WITH AN A!

  • His mother is a Jew?? He's a Jew!! Period. End of discussion!

  • it does not matter what he wants to be(?)

by the same token ,is father beeing catholic ...

al tiie carr rabub.rag samearr gam beshevil ra

  • It has nothing to do with he wants. A child born to a Jewish mother is a Jew. What is that last sentence????

  • אל תהיה כך חבוב חג-שמח גם בשבילך.

  • Здорово! ))

  • LOL

  • Just realized that someone from this background could light the white candle in the center of the Advent wreath and recite a berakhah "lehadlik ner shel Christmas"

  • the core of judaism does not revolve around the messiah, but basically that there is one g-d, as it is sad in the Shema, the most important prayer:

Hear O Israel, Adonai is our G-d, Adonai is One

Thats just what I believe. I'm not very religious, but I'm dedicated

  • TeeHee . . . I LIKE!

  • Jesus Christ on a pop sickle stick?

  • I love it!! Thanks!!

  • antisemites will determine who's Jewish.

  • hahhaa, i love it. Because im in the same situation. so we celebrate both, becuase neither side is very religious. i've been to both synagogue and church. :)

    fair compromise!

  • ?ha ha?

  • Cute video but the self promotion for download is obnoxious and makes it impossible for me to use in a blog and makes me not want to send it on.

  • Brisket and Potato Latkes trump everything else.

  • OY VEY! I'M 'PLOTZING!!!' (<--means 'OH MY GOD I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!' in a nutshell that is. LOL) this is HILARIOIUS!!! my family is 'kvetching' too! (<--means 'complaining' LOL!) HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE!!! God bless!!!

  • ha ha!! nice!! happy chanukah!!!!!

  • Ha ha ha- very cute!! And, Jesus would celebrate Chanukah! Chag Sameach everyone.

  • Very cute video!

  • Some americans fill more americans than jews. With such practices the give to their children a confuse idea about their real fillings. Parents have to stop with this attitude.

  • Nothing better than getting up Christmas morning and stepping barefoot on the top of a dreidel from the kids' Chanukah party from the night before.

  • Esta es la vida!!! Todos juntos para el bien común

    Jag Sameaj le kulam

  • WWJD? Hanukkah.

  • A Messianic Rabbi I know sent me this link. the majority of his congregation consists of intermarrieds who face this situation all the time. There is absolutely nothing in Christian (or at least Evangelical) theology that prohibits keeping kosher, celebrating Jewish holidays, or even living a halachic lifestyle. So Happy Hannukah and Chag Sameach!

  • @PraetorDrew Messianic "rabbis" aren't Jews. They are Christians out to convert Jews.

You can't have both. You end up with confused kids who move away from all religion and spirituality because it is so hard on the kids.

  • Most of the Haredi rabbis I study with would say the same thing about the Reform and Conservative "rabbis"

Many Jews are atheists, and yet are still considered Jewish. Why not be tolerant of Jews who want to embrace a trinitarian theology as well?

  • actually, I tend to believe that most Jews are agnostic. They believe in G-d, but feel you don't have to to synagogue every week to be a good Jew. Also, the core belief of Judaism is that the Messiah has not arrived yet and Jews are waiting for him or her to come. Jews who believe in the theology wouldn't really be Jewish, they would be Christian. Thats just my though. I am not Jewish but have had a lot of Jewish friends

  • Well, many Reform Jews don't believe that there will be a personal messiah at all, but instead a messianic age.

Most Christians don't believe that all the messianic prophecies have been fulfilled, either, and are waiting for a messianic age to arrive.

In fact, the very idea of a messiah was not around during the time of Moses but developed gradually over time, so how can that be the core belief of Judaism?

  • "Judaism" today is not exactly the same as at the time of Moses -- just as "Christianity" today is not exactly the same as at the time of Jesus. Both of these modern religions evolved from what the Jews refer to as "The Five Books of Moses" and what the Christians refer to as "The Old Testament."

  • true - however there are a lot of jews that DO practice judaism the same way that they did in the times if moses. Orthodox itself believes that the religion should deffinetly NOT "evolve", rather to keep it as it was.

  • My point is: Judaism is a Rabbinic religion, not a Biblical one. Orthodox Judaism follows the teachings of the Rabbis, not just the laws of the Torah.

  • @PraetorDrew Correct, in fact most Jews believe there will be a messianic age. Some believe that a messiah will usher that in. Some Orthodox believe all Jews have a "spark" of moshiach.

Christians believe in a messiah that died for their sins and then will come back to usher in a time of peace, etc.

Most Jews and Christians see Jesus as a defining line and believe Messianic Judaism is in fact a stream of Christianity. They can believe what they want as long as they don't try to convert Jews

  • I don't think anyone likes being aggressively missionized by any group, be it Christian, Chabad, or Hare Krishna. Kiruv requires more tact than many are willing to practice.

My message is for my fellow Jews out there who have embraced the Christian theology. They are not less Jewish for having done so, and should be encouraged to embrace their Jewish heritage and celebrate the Jewish holidays with their fellow Jews.

  • @PraetorDrew First of all, Chabad doesn't proselytize. Judaism is a non-universalizing religion. Chabad doesn't seek to convert Christians, just re-involve Jews in Judaism.

Do what you want but I will not consider a person who says the "Y" word & thereby breaks the law of not saying G-d's name & believes that Jesus is the messiah a Jew. If you call yourself what you are, Christian following the noachide laws with a respect for Judaism, then I respect that. But falsely claiming to be a Jew, no.

  • You are correct about Chabad ~ they do not proselytize. Yet Judaism as a whole does not does encourage converting. They take the conversing process very seriously. Well, at least orthodoxy does. PraetorDrew needs to get his/her facts correct. Jews who believe in Jesus as the messiah are called Christians. They do not keep the 613 mitzvahs. Do they keep Shabbos, I wonder....

  • Hey, I didn't say anything about Chabad trying to convert gentiles!

And there are Torah-observant Messianic organizations such as Hashivenu and the Jerusalem Council as well as some UMJC congregations that keep kosher and are shomer shabbat.

  • Would you call such an individual a gentile then? I thought it was halachically impossible for a Jew to ever become a gentile.

  • @thdju

Are you saying there are no Secular-Jews? Jews who say the name of God (Yahweh) openly, do not keep to the mitzvahs, work during Shabbas, or don't believe in God aren't Jews?

Excuse me for thinking that Jews were an ethnoreligious group where the religion is only a part of the culture, not the whole kit and caboodle.

(I may have just misinterpreted what you said, so if that`s the case, my mistake!)

  • @ToastMuncher2 Hey toast, yeah, I think you misinterpreted or maybe I wasn't clear. I don't think there are non-secular Jews. In fact, that makes up the majority. Just that secular doesn't mean believing in Christmas. Oh and btw, you really won't find any Jew using the "Y" word. That is not something Jews say. That is the Christian interpretation of the unpronounceable word that is G-d's name (Hebrew letters - Yud, Hay and Vav, Hay)... Even within reform & conserv - they are taught that isn't

  • @ToastMuncher2 ... the name of G-d. Many Jews are BuJews or JewFi's (believe in Buddhism or Sufism) but those believes are not in direct confliction with Judaism... where Christianity or believing in Jesus is. Truly, Judaism is a religion that has become an ethnicity. The core of Judaism is the religion. You can be Hispanic & Christian (believe in Jesus) but you can't be Jewish & Christian (believe in Jesus). That doesn't work.

  • @thdju Damn typing to fast... beliefs not believes... sorry.

  • @thdju why not? many jews converted to christianity in Spain

  • @evg11311 Many Jews were forced to convert into christianity in Spain.

  • This is true, you cannot stop someone from practicing as a Jew. I mean, just before someone converts they are an observant non-Jew! But unless your mother is Jewish according to the Jews, you still can't participate in certain things. Can't even pour non mevushal wine or be in a minyan etc.
