  • do you think that because as you are going through a eleven rack , it's altering the sound and that it could sound completely different on another preamp?

  • @gaud2029 The pedal would sound different regardless of the amp, yeah. :-)

  • Hey Man, What amp are you running through? cause ive had my satchurator now for about 2 years since it came out, and cant get a decent sound through the clean channel on my line 6 150 watt, i tried changing the settings on the amp and on the pedal till i got a nice tone but when i crank it up on gigs it dont sound good.

  • @joesatriani1200rulez For this demo I'm actually going through an Eleven Rack...

  • @joesatriani1200rulez I use a satchurator with podfarm and can get some pretty decent sounds out of it, you can check my vids for some of the tones i get. I think line6 is better for recording rather than gigging (tubes>digital modeling most of the time)

  • @joesatriani1200rulez If you're going through a PA, try and keep the volume down on the Line6. If you're not going through a PA, consider it. Solid State amps have a tendency to FART when you push the gain. Unfortunately most distortion pedals are designed to push the gain. It's the nature of overdrive. But, I am not a fan of Line 6 amps. Personally, I would have gone with a jelly bean I mean POD and a tube amp. Or just the Satch and a tube amp. Blues Jr. $500. Cheap cheap.

  • @hueseph well i do go through a PA, i go through EV speakers but the amp is mic'd up through the mixer then goin out through the speakers, but i take all the effects of, set a clean channel and play around with the tone controls to try and get a natural clean sound and then add the pedal, i do keep the amp down lowish and turn it up on the mixer without pushing it up to far cause all the other levels are set for the others in the band, but still sounds shit, any good amps youd advise?

  • @joesatriani1200rulez What goes on at the mixer? Do you eq it? What mic? I prefer a Sennheiser 421 over an SM57. On or off axis? I would try with and without eq. 400-500Hz for body 2k for bite. The Blues Jr. is a great amp.

  • @hueseph yeah we eq it, we use a SM57, not to sure bout to anything else about the name of the equipment cause im only on 1 single channel on a 24 track mixer, okay cool i'll check it out :P

  • @joesatriani1200rulez It's your amp. Period. A line 6 that's cranked doesn't sound good with any pedal.

  • @joesatriani1200rulez Until I got my Jet City Amp, what I did for solid state was pick a dirty channel and put the gain all the way down, then used the gain at about 4 o clock and the tone rolled off on the pedal. Best of luck!

  • Flawless riffs as usual.Nice Eric Johnson tones on that pedal. Is that played through your Fender amp? Keep em comin

  • @tterb4 Thanks a lot! I'm playing this through my Eleven Rack.

  • Playing satch on something different than Ibanez is blasphemy ;)

  • @Bananu7 Haha! :-)

  • @Bananu7 fender>ibanez facts

  • @beanerthemanful I will not start a flame war here, which this discussion would certainly evolve into. If they suit you better - that's all right with me. I just pointed out that Joe Satriani has always been using Ibanez guitars, and it has nothing to do with one brand being better than the other.

  • hey Wallimann u been one of my favorite guitar player dudes on youtube so i thought u can help me with something i was thinking about getting this pedal im gonna be needing it for jazz band but i would need it for a amazing creamy solo sound i usually dont like pedals that sound with a fuzzy of grity sound if u now what i mean do u think this pedal will deliver or if u have any other suggestions let me know please :)

  • @rockyanez1284 Maybe the SD-1 would be good? This is good too but you might get the results you're after with the SD-1 which is also cheaper...

  • I still think your phrasing is awesome.

  • @hgyture2347 Thank you sir! :-)

  • When did you get that tele? Nice guitar. What brand is it? I think this pedal sounds pretty decent.

  • @wesmartino64 It's an American Standard. I got it a couple weeks back. :-)

  • I'm a HUGE Satriani fan, which is why I'm so disappointed with his line of pedals.

They're not bad - just lacking....

    I expected more from Satch.

  • "For these tests I played with my Parker Nitefly going into the corresponding... " You'll spot the mistake ;) Furthermore, awesome interactive videos David, works like a charm!

  • @kaznerov Thanks man! Yeah, I need to fix that.. So used to not having any other guitar! :-D

  • @Wallimann what happened to the Parker(s)?

  • @thericecrispy2 Still have the Nitefly. I sold the Fly Deluxe though. Never played it and it was lacking character I think...

  • i have the satchurator and the ice 9 overdrive, you should try the ice 9 if you havent already, both great pedals.

  • @socco445 Haven't tried the Ice 9, I will!

  • How's that tele treating you dude?

  • @TenhoMeideia I loooove it!

  • Comment removed

  • this is my kinda of pedal :D

  • @xom400 It's a good one!

  • Hahaha Nice, some Steve Vai stuff in between ;) Rellay great sound :P

    Must try at store :D

  • @TheHeroMaas Thanks man! I really like it.

  • The videos are great! they look very professional with the introduction, although it may get annoying the more times I hear it haha :)

  • @thefretboardmagician Yeah I know.. I tried making the click bypass the intro, but it would show the video in half the size... Weird!

  • way to bring the big fuzz twang, love the new tones your getting with this Tele, i've been researching on getting myself a new tele also, except hot rodded with locking tuners and dimarzio fat pups :)

  • @kdoverock Nice!

  • Great idea for your videos man ! Hope you enjoy your Tele :) and btw don't you find the satchurator too trebly when the tone knob is on the middle ? I never go beyond 10'o' clock.

  • @TiboukMusiChannel Yeah man, I keep the tone pretty low... I actually tend to do that with most pedals.

  • Thanks for doing these interactive videos man, this is really cool. I personally like hearing you play, but if I had money, I'd buy me one of those ;)

Speaking of hearing you play, I get to hear little bits here and there in all of your videos, but will there be another full-length song/jam coming soon? You put out songs frequently enough, don't worry, I'm just wondering...

    Peace out man :)

  • @dahudge14 Thanks so much! I'm trying to find time to finish my 2nd album. But time is lacking so much these days! :-)
