  • I have got the exact same watch as this, however mine has got the leather strap and it is a genuine tag. I have absolutely no idea why people want fake watches anyway, the whole point of having a prestige watch is because it is what it is. I don't wear my Tag to impress other people, I wear it because I like it, if it was fake then what would be the point?

  • didn't wanna upset you but it's replica cost from $300 - $600. Easiest way to find out the engraved on the machinist should be in black not in gold.

  • just came across this since I'm thinking of buying one. The comments claiming why its a fake are just incredible and dont pass the simplest tests. For example, the previous comment from joshtammi, the rehaut numbers dont line up - have you visited the Tag Heuer website? - They must be showing pictures of fakes on their own website!! go look!! They line up! Also thesdcfa - the smallest chrono is not numbered on the original? Your computer must also be incapable of connecting to Tag website!

  • This is a very very very good fake, or possibly a fake case with gen movement. but the tell tale sign is quite simple, dont worry about studying the movement, ive already tried and it looks to be very genuine.

on the dial, the numbers on the rehaut (5, 10, 15, 20, etc) line up with the corresponding minute markers. The real tag does not do this, they are not aligned, how do i know? cause im holding one.

sorry bud, its deffs a fake, but for all i know, that movement could be gen. franken imo.

  • This watch is real look at the regulator

  • fake the smallest chrono dial on the left is numbered which is not numbered in original one

  • @thesdcfa

the smallest chrono is numbered on the original cv2014. the chrono ist not numbered on the cv2010. but yes, it is a fake, because the rotor on the original looks totally different. this is the easiest way to identifiy a fake.

  • Would like to have automatic Heuer, but which one...Carrera or Monaco "Le Mans- Steve Mc Queen"...both are great :)

  • It's a 2000€ watch and this one is not a replica you can just tell. Some swiss watchmakers (eg Omega) gone back to 21100bph to make their movements more reliable so for the n00bs here: The second hand would sweep even less "smooth". A smooth sweeping second hand doesn't mean it doesn't tick. It just doesn't tick like a cheap ass quartz you find in your casios

  • 100% real.I own the same watch.LOL at the idiots who keep saying this is fake. The back on the fakes are horrible, plus the subdials are all wrong on fakes.Get the real stuff!!II'm far from rich but work hard and like the better things in life.

  • I agree here with heliman, the movement in TAG Heuer watches is at 28,800 bph and this one on the vid seems like a genuine. The difference between 28,800 and faster beating period at Tag Heuer is only in two cases: Grand Carrera Calibre 36 and Calibre 360. The Calibre 36, whne chronograph is started speeds up to 36,000 bph so that it can measure 1/10th of a sec and in case of Calibre 360, it accels to 360,000 (!!!) bps, so the chronograph can measure 1/100th of a second.

  • 100% genuine, just bought one in official store

  • If they could replicate the movement so nicely, why bother making replicas? They could just make their own brand and movements. My friend has a fake Grand Carrera and you could see from miles that it is a fake, it's very bad. But you buy what you can afford.. Just don't think its good, because it isn't.

  • very nice, just dont drop it in the water lol, even if it is resistant

  • did you buy from a website ?

  • is there a carrera with red seconds meter, showing day and date?

  • What do the Dials on the Face do? why does the one at 12 only go up to 30?

  • @ColinSWiseman - The Swiss models AND the Chinese fags tick at 28,000vph so that is no way to tell. Even Rolex ticks at 28,000vph.... unless it's a Zenith Daytona with the El Primero movement which runs at 36,000vph. Learn man learn.

Also, it may be hard to imagine but individuals do have the ability to own swimming pools in their back yards. Crazy concept but true.

Even an amateur can easily identify this watch as genuine... it's not even a very expensive watch so why buy a fake?

  • @heliman29 Cause £30 is less than £1000... thats a good enough reason to buy a fake...

  • @heliman29 not cheap?its 2000 euros for fake saike, maybe for you if youre a bilionaire, but if you were, you wont coment here

  • @heliman29

That's stupid. Who wouldn't buy a fake? I bought a fake for $40. Better than this one actually, This goes for $3200 retail, which means I could have bought 80 fake watches that look exactly like the original, for the same price as ONE original.

Also, I like how you say "I embarrass the crap out of anyone who wears that fake junk." It's because you regret spending that money on ONE stupid watch. The fake one I have is better looking, modeled off the $6000 one.

  • @pwnwner exactly...

  • @heliman29 You don't know what you're talking about. The Zenith movement on the Daytona had a 28,800 escapement. Learn man learn.

  • @heliman29 this watch is the sallary of my dad on 3 months i think!

  • @obsedatr6 The watch is roughly $2 800. So unless your dad makes $933 per month than no.

  • @Danne9000 yep, much lower than that, but though shit for me

  • @ColinSWiseman I own one, bought from Tourneau. I know that this one is genuine.

  • @ColinSWiseman WOW youre a fucking idiot. Firstly, educate yourself on mechanical watches. They ALL tick. Secondly, what poor ass country do you live in, where being by a pool means you're on vacation? What a fail.

  • @ColinSWiseman if that's a fake i want one

  • @ColinSWiseman So, uh, look, you're clearly an idiot. Now, back to your comic books, moron.

  • Thing of beauty...

  • this watch is 100% real.Nice one!!

  • @heliman29 i think u hurt his feelins lol.

  • this is not a fake. it just have the old rotor, so that only mean that the watch is a few years old. the fake ones have blue screws in the back instead of silver, and also have really bad geneva striping on the rotor.

sp again, this is 100% the real deal!

  • I agree heliman29, these imbeciles need to stop being jealous and accept the fact that their "Carreras" are different because they have the fakes. I have this exact same watch, a lovely timepiece, and am yet to see a fake that is good enough to truthfully replicate the original to the point where they can't be told apart. Go buy Swatches you dickheads and pretend it's a Rolex.

  • that is one sexay watch

  • I don't blame eBay for fake merchandise. Like I said it's simple, if someone is paying $1000 plus for a watch then they should know whether it's fake or not. It's up to the buyer to do there research first. I paid $1600 for a Carrera on eBay that was 10 months old and the original owner paid $2500 for when full retail was around $3200. It was genuine and came with all papers, warranty and original receipts, still not "cheap" but around half if I had bought it from a store.

  • I can't agree more with you BUT please don't blame eBay as the mother of fakes, I bought my Carrera there, it wasn't cheap and it came with papers, everything looks original (unless the Carrera replicas are so f#%$ good)

  • I agree! I have 3 TAG watches and 2 of them I bought through eBay. They are both the genuine article and I paid less than RRP on both. It's up to the buyer to do their homework and know what they are bidding on. I have seen plenty of fakes on eBay, and some of them fetch crazy prices due to idiots obviously thinking that they are genuine. Anyone willing to spend over $1000 for a watch without knowing whether it's real or not deserves to be ripped off.

  • This watch shown in the video is "NOT Fake" at all.

    The Movements are genuine

  • @apathy1001

but the rotor looks totaly different on the original.

  • @Eric1Penna

Yeah you are right , I looked closely again this video and my watch , the rotor on the back of the watch is different, mine has 2 triangular incision and between which i have the Tag heuer label and calibre 16 swiss made written, the movement on the dial look exactly same though but as you mentioned the rotor looks fake.

I retract me above statement, My Bad.

  • @apathy1001

I retract the Above statement , closely looking at the rotor on the back of the watch it is different than the original,

    Thanks to point out Eric1Penna

  • @apathy1001

naar, the rotor is not a sign its fake, it has correct Geneva striping. this was the old style rotor used by TAG, only newer models have the triangles, it was an addition TAG made later as they round it spun more freely. you can look it up in the model revisions, compare CV2010, and CV2010-1.

Dont worry, the watch is definately a fake, i can vouch for that, but i believe the movement could possibly be real, these are known as frankenwatches, fakes using genuine parts

  • its real, the swiss movm't is genuine.

  • i have this exact same watch too. lovely piece which i've wanted for years and now finally have. yes there are better quality watches on the market but i think tags are the best looking.

this one 100% genuine too, please ignore any comments stating otherwise!

  • Exactly! I'm not degrading other brands but I personaly think that Tag watches are the most attractive to me. It all comes down to personal taste. Like I've said previously, there's no need to pay $1000 plus for a watch on any level. It all comes down to fiscal capability and ego. But as the Skyhooks once said " Ego is not a dirty word".

  • How much did this watch cost?

  • I totally agree with you heliman29, Cheesy033 and niminbai need to pull their heads out of their asses. They are probably just jealous that they can't afford the genuine artricle. I have 3 Tag's, one of which is the CV2014 like yours, and I can definitely say that the video you posted is of the genuine watch. A very nice timepiece, although if you are after something different might I suggest looking at the Oris range, top quality but not the over the top price of a Rolex.

  • I don't agree that Rolex is priced over the top.You are paying for a brand, a brand which is without doubt the most famous in the world.

  • I don't dispute that Rolex is probably the most recognised exclusive watch brand, but how much do you want to pay for a name? I don't see the point in paying those prices for something that's no better realistically than a few other brands. I'm not bagging Rolex, if people can afford it and want one then that's their choice, I just wouldn't buy one no matter how much cash I had. If you look at it sensibly it's ridiculous to pay $1000 plus for a watch anyway. It's personal choice.

  • Well it depends on taste. For example I think that the Submariner is a stunning watch. I wont dispute that some Tags are gorgeous too, I actually have a WVA211 myself, a real classy piece, and not a "could I buy a new car instead" kind of price tag either. Although lets face it, Carreras are not cheap. Someone could rightly argue that a Casio is fine, and anything over $100 is too much. I do however think that Patek's are ridiculously priced. That is vanity bordering insanity.

  • By the way I am actually a fan of Casio, I have owned 3, and they have been beasts in terms of durability and wear. They've been knocked around, and barely a scratch to be seen. Casio I feel are underrated in their products....calculators, watches and even digital cameras!

  • I don't know your age but when I was about 14 I had a couple of Casio calculators that had games built into them (although very basic). At the time they were considered pretty radical and proved to be very popular.. If people only bought "sensible" products then companies like Ferrari and Tag Heuer would go out of business very quickly. Let's just think ourselves lucky that we can afford to buy any of their products at all.

  • True.

  • yea rolexs are ugly

  • Niminbai I have a real Carrera tachymetre CV2013-2 brown bezel, brown strap too. This watch it's not fake it's just the other version of carrera tachymetre CV2014 and I must say that's as beautiful as mine and probably yours..Be carefool dude when you accuse a watch it's fake!

  • very very nice.

  • so what's the difference between your real one and this?

  • thats a sweet watch bro

  • I quite sure that s a replica... You can buy it for Ł150 with original box and papers...

  • Jeeze dude, why are you "quite sure"ing me? it's very simple to distinguish this from the cheap China garbage. On "TV" they may look similar but in real life there's no comparison in look and feel. Don't you think it would be a good idea to actually educate yourself before you start dropping those lines? A trained eye would see an improper date font, "saw" rotor attachment hub & misplaced sub-dial groove just to name a few. Watch again... the gen in it's splender. Educate yourself man, educate

  • @heliman29

Also these watches cost less than $100 to make. Casio G-Shocks are tougher and 100x less expensive than these watches. Can you put this in a freezer and it still works? Can you literally take a mallet and smash that watch and it won't break? Really, it would have been better to buy a fake. No one you meet will be able to tell the difference. If they ask, you can tell them it's a fake, which usually gives you the impression of being a smarter guy and know how to find good, fake deals.

  • @pwnwner These watches are far more complicated to build than quartz watches, hence the increased price.

And no wearing a fake gives the impression of being a total dick, and people can spot fakes. There are so many fakes out there which uses Quartz instead of automatic movement which is highly amusing. Buying fakes ruins the "real deal", and there's a reason why people buy these watches, they appreciate the time and precision requierd to build such a watch, aswell as the brand and design.

  • even if it was a replica with box and papers why would you buy a real one if the replica looks just as good as this

  • Because the hands don't move on the fake one... because it would have broken after 6 weeks... hello. It also doesn't feel nearly as nice in person... computer videos are much different than reality. Not to mention only losers wear China fake garbage and I call out everyone I see that wears that junk. Sometimes I wait until there's a crowd of his friends (at least 4 hot girls around too) and embarrass the crap out of them.

  • @heliman29 If you called me out I would feed you your asshole, bonappetit :)

  • to rogalewski86:

It is no way in hell a replica, my mate had a fake Tag and the back is just metal i.e. there wasn't a kinetic plate or glass at the back...also the watch clasp had the Tag Heuer logo rather than the words: TAGheuer

  • gf/fiance just got this watch for me for our wedding day, gently used from the jeweler who made our ring for under $2000.00 Canadian.

Two year warranty from the store, too.

    Can't wait to get it.

  • Sweet... you'll love it! That's quite a girl you got there!

  • Sorry to tell you this but I think it is a replica/fake. Where did you buy it? I have noticed the fakes numbers line up with the 5,10,15,20,25,30,35,40,55,60 although the original off the Tag site is actually to the left. Hope you only paid $300 that is all the replicas are worth...

  • It's incorrect on Tag Heuers website which is quite strange! It's been discussed in great detail on several horology websites. Why would the authentic watch have a miss-aligned dial where the 5 second mark was actually at the two second position? It's been wrong on their site for years which is pretty sad since the Carrera's been around since 1963 in some form. This watch was purchased with papers from an authorized dealer. Thanks though...

  • Not only that, just look the inside of your watch... not even the best replicas have that perfection inside, a replica changes inside.

  • i've seen zarcomau say the exact same comment word for word on other videos. he's just a little shit disturber. from what i can tell from the video it is genuine. a big give away is the tachymetre letters and numbers look a lot crisper on the authentic

  • my dream watch!

  • I got mine for $3000. One bad thing about this is you have to get service every 3 years.Looking around $500 for the service

  • Really only every 5 years or when it starts to loost it's accuracy.

  • I really like that, I have a few tags and Im looking to get another. How much did that bad boy set you back? Very nice watch by the way, I like the way it shows the moving parts.
