Love trombonist Tony Dorsey doing the salute and later the conducting when the fife part comes up. The Wings horn section for the tour (Dorsey, Thaddeus Richard, Howie Casey and Steve Howard) were tight.
@DAVWAVE Well, I saw him do a three hour show of hits in Chicago last summer, and there were still a ton of songs he could have played but didn't. If he ever decides to find out, I'll be selling a kidney to buy a ticket.
heard the flute part when I walked in a store-talk about a flashback-living in DC u just dont hear the old music anymore-yes the stations suck in the nations cap of all places, Its all about going back to 76
I was there May 25th 1976 MSQ will never forget - sold a scalped ticket for $1000 was a huge score - my current girlfriend as of 1976 was 6 them - OUCH!
Not surprising they'd do an homage to the Bicentennial back in '76. When I saw him on July 4, 1990 in DC (RFK Stadium), his lead-in to one song was, "America... I hear it's your birthday!" Then he played "Birthday" Way cool :)
I remember when this song had just come out and I was only two or three, but I was standing up in the back seat of my dad's car while he was cruising down the road and this song was on and I still remember to this day, before I even knew who Paul was or anything about the Beatles that the voice and mind behind that song was really special.
always loved this song

Love the drummer in his Long John Silvers costume. LOL That's what it reminded me of anyway. Big fan of Sir Paul!

I wonder if Paul did a marathon how many songs he would have to play, if he only played relative "HITS"?

He doesn't seem to play this tune live these days; I wonder why that is. It's not a bad tune. Just curious.

It sounds like something that could happen in a haunted house. Someone knocking on the door and ringing the bell (with the creepy and melodic tune)
