@pivotPG I still play it. BTW it has few cool hidden weapons which can be added to the armory build list using pak explorer. Like Flash beam for example, some kind of weird constant-like yellow microwave beam.

@jericoparazo oh ive never played battlezone 1. sorry :\ they should have kept the tab thing instead of having you leave your tank or whatever and have a chance for an enemy to steal the vehicle

@jericoparazo you dont have to change views if you want tactical precision. an antenna or a comm station (i forget what isdf use) will do just fine. it's necessary for isdf since you need one for your turrets to work

Ah having an attack of nostalgia lately. Dusted off and reinstalled System Shock 2 with a grahics mod. Found my copy of Battle Zone 1. Picked up Wing Commander Privateer, Dungeon Keeper, Freespace 1 & 2, and Freespace on Great Old Games.com

Now if they would just give me a modern version of Tie Fighter or Mech Warrior.

It was doomed to fail.

The market wants brain dead games where the playing field between great players and mediocre plyters are leveled.

Tim Schafer made Brutal Legend, and it's the same thing, and the first genuine attempt to create an Action RTS on a CONSOLE, and it was amazing, but people were hysterical, accusing of it being an RTS "in disguise." They actually WANTED the game to be a generic mess where you're just one dude killing everything my mashing A.

If you like Battlezone, Tim Schafer is trying again with his new game Trenched. They simplified it by making it so you only make towers.

Battlezone 1 is one of the best games i have ever played, its just a shame that it wont work on a 64 bit Windows 7...

As it had its flaws most notably a poor AI cordinating (or they just were patriotic for their commanders and motherland that they would even swim in lava like they usualy did) it still is one of the greatest games i have ever played.

Battlezone 2 is great too but i find it kinda boring after awhile.

The battlezone II Community was so disappointed that there will be no bz3 they created their own game (mod) and continue the storyline.

If you don't know it then download it NOW.

It's known as the community mod and is called Forgotten Enemies. It's an entire new campaign with 2 new species some new vehicles for scions and ISDF.
