  • midnight sun=twilight turned up-side down. wtf, somebody would be retarded to buy midnight sun (thankfully that might never come out, maybe smeyer finally realized her stupidity

  • "How Is Meyer going to kill off the Cullens if it's from Edward's perspective?"

I can probably answer that since I'm going to write that a protagonist is going to die in one of my stories. Basically Edward can describe everything the last moments he sees before everything goes black. But... From what I'm reading Meyer's not skilled enough to do it that way.

  • ZING!

    >:D

  • I guess you agree with my opinion that Meyer's not skilled enough to write a first person character death.

  • Beautiful points. Good job. Meyer needs to mature as an author. I agree telling her fans that if she tried to write Midnight Sun "in her current state of mind" about part of it being leaked she'd kill off the Cullens and James would win is very immature. She should really think about what she says and does.. that made her seem like she is a three-year-old. Adults throwing temper tantrums are not cool.

  • There is no such thing as a measly bookseller my dear. As a bookseller myself I know that we are more important then people give us credit for. How many people have decided their purchases based on your advice?

Haha, anyway. Awesome vid. Calm, cool, making valid points. Everything a video ought to be. :)

  • You know i watched a couple of minutes of the twilight movie and compared to the Harry Potter six movie it completely bombed

  • Stephenie Meyer says that her fans are her "surrogate daughters", so when your children misbehave, you must punish them all equally.

That woman has poor parenting skills, especially considering that her "daughters" are just as spoiled as she is, what with the yelling and hitting people who disagree with their "mommy" or her "brainchildren".

This isn't an attack on you, or any Twilight fan who thinks logically (I've read other comments on here).

  • Even though I don't like Twilight - or the crazy fans - I still respect the fans who are still grounded to reality and respect a) the opinions of those who don't agree with Twilight, and b) the author. Shame on the fans who read it, but, what SMeyer did is spoiled, selfish, and just stupid. IMO, she should be happy that she even gained enough recognition to even be leaked and have people care (if you're popular, YOU'RE GOING TO GET LEAKED AT SOME POINT).

  • Though I must say, the way you state your opinions and views is very intelligent and unbiased. It's nice to see someone so caring about what others think while stating they're own opinions, keep it up! Lots of people want to marry you I noticed. . .LOL :D

  • That just proves that J.K. Rowling is ten thousand times better than Myer. Myer is a pathetic author and shouldn't even be a author.

  • I totally agree! :-)

  • That was.. amazing.

Not only were you incredibly insightful, but you maintained your dignity and my respect for you, which is sometimes a bit hard to do. xD I think you should keep making videos. I definately would watch them.

    You're awesome.

  • IAWTC.

  • I love smart people.

    Be my wife. :/

  • you are adorable and intelligent

  • Thanks :o

  • its called build "hype" so the next book outsells anything in the past she has written..thats how the entertainment business works..

  • The problem is that it's big enough without her throwing a fit. And I'd almost have to say that it's TOO big for her to be throwing a fit.

The bigger something gets, the more likely "accidents" like this are going to happen.

  • Your opinions and views are a lot more constructive and thoughtful than nuttymadam's terrible videos of overwhelming immaturity.

  • Who put computer and camera in the kitchen?

  • haha

  • Clever.

  • Obviously it is.

    After all I am man.

  • Let's see how far you get with that outlook.

  • Pretty far.

  • Will you marry me?

  • What :o

  • sm didn't say she was going to kill off the cullens she said that she wouldn't be able to finish writing the book because of the situation she was put in but after the movie hype calms down she said she would pick it back up again

  • From her official post on Midnight Sun:

"With writing, the way you feel changes everything. If I tried to write Midnight Sun now, in my current frame of mind, James would probably win and all the Cullens would die, which wouldn't dovetail too well with the original story."

  • I like the points you make =P And I agree ^_^ it does seem like she's being a little disrespectful...

^^ is that a chinchilla in the background?

  • Thanks :) And no, they're two rats :o

  • i wnana fuck the shit out of you brooke

  • I think not!

  • Well put. Even if I absolutely abhor the series, you actually make sense. And by not being a fantard, you get two thumbs up in my book.

  • I just saw the movie...and "fantard" is the correct word to describe the majority of people in the theatre :(

Is squealing whenever Edward hits the screen REALLY necessary? I think not :o

  • I totally agree with you.

Sometimes you just have to suck it up because things don't always go your way ^________^

  • she is just delaying it ....she is NOT going to stop working on MIDNIGHT SUN .... check her wedsite . you'll see what i'm talking about.

  • I'm fairly confident I said she had it "on hold indefinitely," which is what her website said when I recorded this. So, I know what you're talking about. :3

  • In my opinion, i dont really see the point in Midnight Sun. Sorry. But to me, it just sounds like a Twilight re-write. Yeah it's in Ed Cullen's POV but still, you ALREADY know what's gonna happen and how it's gonna end, so there's no point in wasting your money on something on a book you techancally already read...

  • Yeah but there are Edward fangirls all over the place. They'd give their left arm to have anything in his perspective. Plus, in my opinion, he didn't really have a personality in the book...maybe this is to flesh out his character :3

  • I know, but she writes for a living. Wouldn't you think she'd know how to word it better? Saying "on hold indefinitely" sounds terrible compared to saying something like "I'm not in the correct frame of mind to continue this book at this point in time."

She should say what she means better, in my opinion. The way she worded it sounds like it's a punishment, not just something she feels she needs to do.

  • I see your point, but I think Stephenie is doing this more for herself than as a punishment to the fans. When I'm really upset about something, it's hard for me to focus and do things properly, and I think that's where Steph is at right now. From what I got from her statement, is that she's just not in the right frame of mind to write at this point in time. I would rather her hold off for awhile, and write it when she feels she is back on the top of her game.
