completely agree. Nothing bad ever really happens in power rangers and that is unrealistic. But people die, get maimed, or experiance true loss in kamen rider. Kamen Rider speaks to people and has meaning besides teens beating up monsters 24/7.

I don't really see how it's any different, they try to be normal, transform, fight the bad guy, save the day and try to be normal yet again. It's all the same concepts really.

@TONIxFTW The difference is that Kamen Riders usually fight alone or in a team of two, while Rangers come in a permanent team of three to five. Both can team up with additional characters, of course.

And Riders usually don't have giant robots.

Also, Kamen Rider tends to be more serious, mature and at times downrigth dark, to the point were a good portion of the western audience barely realizes that it's meant to be a kids show.

Sentai shows have some basic formats that include fighting guys in suits and wearing armor so i can see how you can say it seems like power rangers since that is all that most westerners know of sentai. Power Rangers actualy come from a japanese sentai show called Super Sentai. However Kamen rider is made with teens to adults in mind and thats what really separates kamen rider from super sentai
