  • ha ha ha good on you Trent, keep it up, your music drives me wild

  • facemash.com

  • So Trent was just allowed to reuse music from Ghosts on the TSN OST? That's actually kinda cool cause it totally fit well in the movie and he only had to do the work once. What I don't get is if the music now belongs to the movie studio or to NIN. Just curious.

  • @mrbrockpeters It´s not the same exact song...it´s a manipulation of this song, it´s mostly the same song but with some differences. Like with Ghosts 38 and Demon Seed, they sound similar but arent the same...and I think that the Ghosts are owned by TR not the studio...

  • @IncendiaryFlux Movie about Facebook that Trent scored and won an Oscar for.

  • Kinda sounds like the "In Motion" music from "Social Network".

    TRENT is amazing

  • @ShizzProductions ACTUALLY "A Familiar Taste" (From The Social Network) is a interpolation of 35 Ghosts IV

  • @ShizzProductions Pretty sure you mean "A Familiar Taste" from "The Social Network". It sounds nothing like "In Motion"...in fact this has the majority of the same track feats as A Familiar Taste. Probably just got your tracks mixed up.

  • @ultra00elite

If you like this you should definitely get the album because its really good. The Slip is also good and its the album that got me into NIN. Its free legally from their website if you havent got it already.

  • This song is great in the album, and great remixed for the soundtrack. Bravo, Reznor!

  • A familliar taste..

  • :D This was used in The Social Network!! no wonder the movie was stunning!

  • A sounds a lot like to linkin park songs.

  • @subwayeatpoop lol your so funny

  • This one is better than the Social Network version, but both are great, seeing as how that movie's version eventually brought me here.

  • I love how his music can go from the faintest and dimmest whisper to the most brilliant howl of power, hunger, and anguish. And btw, The Social Network uses a remix of this song. Can anyone point out the difference between that track and this one?

  • NIN should make music for the Silent Hill games.

  • Erica Albright's a bitch!!!

  • But who are they going to tell?

  • @blablabla3074 It's "But who are they going to send it to?"

  • HEY DUMB FUCKS SAYING REZNOR'S TSN SOUNDTRACK CAN'T BE NOMINATED FOR AN OSCAR....WRONG! IT IS NOMINATED FOR AN OSCAR!!!! He only remixed two previously recorded songs. The other 17 tracks were original to the film.

  • @MrBumbleballs Not only nominated, it just won on Sunday.

  • @MrBumbleballs Calm the fuck down.

  • this is pure nin sound

  • Oh no, the Oscars aren't going to nominate this score now... if it does, it won't have a chance to win. The Oscars are bitches to movie scores that use the artist's previous material. Look what happened to Johnny Greenwood for There Will Be Blood... ah well, its not like we need an Oscar to tell us Trent Reznor is a brilliant musician.

  • @BaremyiahZ Lol. Dude, this soundtrack just won an Oscar.

  • @spawn22222 Oscar rules have changed. Inconvenient for past scores disqualified under the old terms (The Dark Knight namely) but I'm glad The Social Network got what it deserved over INCEPTION, King's Speech, 127 Hours, and How To Train Your Dragon. The only other composers to really push outside their terrain in the category was John Powell and A.R Rahman but Rahman's score was too short and repetitive.

  • @BaremyiahZ Yeah, your right. Oscars and other awards are just decorations. I definitely agree with what you said that we don't need awards to tell us Trent is brilliant.

  • takes lots of balls to put out 38 instrumentals at the same time.

  • State of trance.

  • Heard this in The Social Network

  • @mowub So did I :)

  • Very awesome! One problem, In your description it says 31 - Ghosts IV. It should be 35.

  • @TomCruize111 aye

  • sounds like someone on an overdose

  • this is just genious.

whole album never ceases to amaze me.

  • Yea, there's no doubt in my mind that, when Trent Reznor retires from NIN (God forbid), he's ganna be composing music for movies and and video games.

  • @StlyeFree he's actually already done soundtracks for games. he did the quake 3 soundtrack ^_^

  • @xDestregax not quake 3 but original quake 1

  • @StlyeFree wow, i think you are psychic.

  • i too =)

  • I Like Almost All Of The Ghost Tracks

    Fuck The Bozos

  • Best song I've heard from ghosts so far.

  • this is my favorite Song from NIN, i wish they sold it on itunes

  • This is my favorite track from Ghosts I-IV, but probably doesn't crack my top 15 favorite NIN tracks

  • Why do you wish you had to BUY it when its free?

  • Because something this brilliant must be bought. Absolutely must.

  • Because a lot of Nails fans like myself are hardcore collectors. You get that shit the day it comes out.

  • REAL industrial ROCK, "REAL"

reminds me off: Sister Machine Gun- Wired song...

  • GTFOUT TROLLNOOB Spambotz

  • who the hell are you talking to

  • what teh fuck? You little Troll.

  • Obvious troll is obvious

  • @jeniber TROLLLLLLLLLLLLING UNDA THE BRIDGE- *shot*

  • Was that really neccessary?

  • Commented on wrong video. :(

    Anyways, this song is awesome...

  • Haha I always say *Ill gouge out your eyes with the severed hands of an orphan with aids!"

  • Fingers aren't stiff enough after you cut them off, Einstein. Too lazy to reach for a damned spoon?

  • hooray for the devi ever Improbability Drive woo!

  • haha most people wouldn't know what you're talking about....i got ya ;) I want the devi ever bit mangler

  • NIN forev!!

  • First time I've heard this song ..this band.

    I love them already. <3

  • I have decided. And this 1 is my favourite :D

  • Haha awesome. Was kinda fun to follow your comments. :P Glad you liked NINs songs so much.

  • What about combining the ambient instrumental and industrial? or make 2 individual albums rofl. God i love this song

  • Obvious troll.

  • I feel like the last two albums (with teeth and year zero), trent's really been repeating himself. But, the whole ghosts thing is totally different. I hope he pursues this new direction...

  • I dont agree with you on that, cause i feel that "Year Zero" is far far away from "With Teeth" cause YZ has reach a high level of genius, in fact YZ is the best of the last NIN´s works, The Slip even it´s a good album is not awesome, With Teeth is normally good, but YZ is pure art and beauty.

  • besides YZ is far away from TDS that record its pure sonic evil to say the least.....

  • Listen to "the Fragile"...

  • Man as a NIN fan i love "The Fragile" and the old stuffs, yeah but i was talking about the new NIN´s era which began with the "With Teeth" until now, and to me their best album from this era is "Year Zero", in the same way that "The Fragile" is my fav album from the old one

  • With Teeth wasn't bad... It actually had some pretty sweet stuff.

  • me to "The Fragile" is awesome

  • i second that!!

  • Why do the title and description contradict themselves to which Ghosts track this is?

  • I just got a camera today, I'm going to see if I can figure it out, maybe add a video of my own. When is the deadline?

  • I'm also curious about the deadline. I think it will be like: Trent puts a vid on youTube telling the Festival is just over :D surprise!

  • I love this. I love this whole album and I love that poeple are going to start adding visual to it. This is one of the coolest things ever.

  • yeah trent is a freakin genius!

theres gonna be some really great stuff from the film festival

  • well, this isn't really a new idea, though. trent's just the first one with a big enough fan base to pull this off.

  • yes...yes..... Yes!!!!!!

  • I really like this one. Very nice...

  • is this whas ghost I-IV is? like instrumentals?

fuckin genius what hes doin with it though

  • This song sounds like it was inspired by Meet Your Master

  • Yeah, that's what I thought too.

  • I like this "wannabe industrial beat" more than the dark ambient sounding stuff. to each is own...

    watch?v=8wM-oh-aym4

  • I like both, but I think if someone's gonna call an artist's beats 'wannabe industrial' it probably shouldn't be trent reznor haha. Has anyone torrented the samples off his album deluxe package? I wanna remix it but I don't currently have £150 to blow on it.

  • yeah , i've noticed in the comments for all of the ghost songs that there seems to be almost 2 distinct camps out there...people more into the "hard , angry , industrial" side... and then the ones more into the "ambient , fragile , introspective" side...with just a minority of us that like nin precisely BECAUSE reznor can go so far in both directions !

  • hear hear!.. i'm definitely in the third camp :)

  • @dancinginfidel Agreed, his eagerness to explore and push his artistic boundaries is refreshing in this 'Ho-Hum', creative coma, current music seems trapped in.

  • I liked the other dark ambient sounding stuff on Ghosts, but it was disappointing to hear more wannabe industrial beats like this that really brought it down. Sounds like a bad outtake. If only it focused more on the piano soundscape stuff...

  • you should have been there during the recording, man :P

  • I am REALLY considering using the Nine team for an upcoming film. I am pretty excited. I am going to Cannes in May. I would LOVE to sit in on a recording session. It'd be a little like hanging out backstage with every musician ever (embodied in four guys).

  • Nine team? :P Who uses this name? As far as I'm concerned, the only name u can use is Trent Reznor & co ;]

Nice you are going to Cannes.

It would be lovely to sit on the recording session, but would be even better to record something ;]

  • trent just rules, his been through so much but yet he still makes music really for himself

  • nine inch depp XD

    never live it down man

  • Trent can do whatever he wants and get away with it. thats how amazing he is

  • Takes a lot of balls to put out an instrumental album... I respect this guy as an artist..

  • Trent Reznor is GOD

  • AMEN!!
