  • @nbsbb2009 lol Phil Ivey is not going to go broke from gambling...he unlike you, understands not to bet more than he can afford and I assure you with the amount of money he has and his shares in full tilt poker he can afford bets like this

  • @clank25 Exactly Ivey is a poker player and he knows risk management and where to find an edge. Everyone has a little gamble but at the end of the day, good poker players don't go broke.

  • @PrometheanRunGood For sure poker players go broke isildur1, tom durr dwan, mike matusow plenty of them

  • @1793159753j Durrrr isn't broke (far from it), isildur1 is Norwegian (enough said) and if Matusow went broke, it's probably because he fell off the bus again.

My point is GOOD pokerplayers are better at risk management than your average Joe.

  • @PrometheanRunGood Isildur1 is from sweden! YOU NOOB!

  • @321acb123 Who cares all you Scandinavian Lagtards play the same style.

  • @clank25 actually phil ivey can go broke because he unlike us holds no value to money...that's how he can cold call with a two pair for a million dollars.

  • The youtube url grabber just came out with additional new features! You can now play your favorite video on the page itself, and if you like to check out other videos, that wont be a problem, for the preceding video will automatically stop playing without dawdling its buffer time! Also, you can now download mp4 format for your mobile phone!

  • So Ivey owns a large stake in Full Tilt and other people are willing to gamble ridiculous sums of money against him played by computer generated cards??? Am I the only one who thinks this is an issue?

  • @jhalas20

does anyone think that a multi billion dollar business is going to cheat people out of money for a few million?

( well it happened w/ UB. so not entirely impossible. but it would be quite stupid ... )

  • @jhalas20 yeah good point thats a pretty big conflict of interest but he doesnt need to cheat to win

  • People will go broke when gambling. Phil used marks when he gamble. Eventually you have to pay off the loan money. No matter how much you make you will pennyless because you play according to your income. I guararntee he will be broke 3-4 years from now.

  • @nbsbb2009 Not hardly he makes over 5 million dollars a month just from his shares in Full Tilt Poker

  • @sjlnevets I doubt it with that figure but anyway the dude gamble like hundred and hundred thousand a bet. He is not going to bet small. Thus he is going to lose all one day including all his houses.

  • @nbsbb2009 yeah but even if he goes broke he can build his roll back up

  • @nbsbb2009 I wish there was some way that me and you can put money on it. I'd take that bet in a heart beat.

  • ivey makes 15m a yr from just being on the fulltilt team he owns a pretty high stake in the company as well as making 4m/yr cash games on there, not to mention other games (dice, baccarat) tournaments, sports bets, prop bets and sponsorships. id say his net worth is closer to 200m than 100m

  • barry barry i have to give you a... come on man!... for the football comments. nfl coaches don't know what they are doing. barry please stick to poker... something u've played before. the reason they call timeout with 18 seconds left is because by the time they get to the line of scrimmage, get set, and spike the ball takes time off the clock. now your talking about losing potential plays to score the touchdown. i'm sure your smart at a lot of things barry... class act and a nice guy.

  • most people know only the poker life of phil....behind the scenes he as an active family life and community n charitable causes he supports,,,hes a grounded individual and mor

  • chrisutton- what does allergic to money mean? that doesn't make sense if you want to be a true gambler.. to be true gambler you have to be "insensitive" to money. this insensitivity is usually only possessed by pro gamblers and not recreational ones. they can't have too high of highs or low of lows to survive in gambling world for longevity..this is what makes phil the best bc he's got the most gamble in him which is his competitive edge over opponents.

  • hes a degenerate gambler but unlike the rest of the degens, he'll never go broke. why? because he takes in ridiculous sums of money monthly from full tilt. if he ever got bought out it would be in the hundreds of million of dollars. also btw, i hear he does ok when he plays poker to support other gambling. phils the man, theres nobody more on top of the gambling/poker world than he is

  • He not only wins millions in full tilt, but also pretty much own full tilt, he gets loads of money from that. And then there is live cash games and tournaments where he also wins loads

  • If this is the poker player, I can't stand him.

  • cause money doesnt mean anything all money is to him is a way to gamble he doesnt think about wow if just bough a car with that money. In order to be a true gambler you have to act like your allergic to money.

  • Barry G lives through Ivey.

  • Barry G is a smart guy and uses Ivey to promote he's company Pokerroad.

  • phil ivey is the best.

  • I'm a big fan of Ivey but he does come off as being pretty cocky/arrogant from time to time. No difference between breakin' even or up $800K? I know the guy is worth Millions but come on...somethin's gotta be wrong with the dude to really not give a sht about money like that.

  • You must not be a gambler its money. if he has 5k or 5mill hes ganna gamble hes ganna do it till hes broke and homeless. Unless your a gambler you dont understand the mentality.

  • I actually do gamble but I don't do it recklessly and I damn sure give a shit if I win or not. What's the fun or point of gambling if you could care less either way?

  • @chris7sutton19 i understan 100%...but u can be rational - like i gamle till i lose my bankroll and occassionally will dip in and put some more money down (when i said i had already reached my limit)...but there is a different between being a degenerate gambler and being a complete retard. u can gamble and still pay ur bills even if u lose.

  • @Tnias13

as soon as you get pulled out of your concentration because of a big loss, you'll just "go tilt" and loose more trying to win your money back.

Phil excells in one thing, he knows when it's time to go to bed.

sleep over it, and just start again the next day.

ima be honest, i made five figures in gambling, but i just have no discpline. i don't bank profit, i keep playing, if i loose, i play more. if i win, i play bigger.

    eventually i loose.
