@Your2ndPlanB Really, imho, the only band that can match, if not exceed, AF's emotional range is Radiohead. Like many, you'll probably think they're two weird or emo or pretentious at first, but one day, you'll find one of their melodies stuck in your head, so you listen to it again and again and again until all of the sudden, you're in love. Try listening to In Rainbows, OK Computer, and the Bends at first before delving into their experimental stuff like Kid A or Amnesiac.

I remember watching this video on MuchMusic during a particularly rough patch in grade 8. I was pretty much bedridden and whenever good music came on it was always welcome, instead of the rest of the bullshit on that station. How fitting is it that this video seems to be about the little guy winning in the end.

Minus the awesome story of watching them get to perform this song last year at Austin City Limits music fest- My ex-boyfriend got us lost... we had to take a detour. I was turning down a street, and had to slow down for two people to pass... it was WIN AND REGINE'!!! We rolled down the window and yelled at them, but of course they kept walking and ignored us. Epic story I will ALWAYS remember!!!

@octupus6 I hated that too, but I think they did it to highlight that generations of kids will repeat their mistakes in an attempt to distance themselves from authority. The repetition is always at a point where they're misbehaving xD Like killing the old farts.

They 100% deserved to win the Grammy. They were the only ones nominated who make ACTUAL music. I can't even begin to put into words how amazed and proud of them I am for their accomplishment. I've been a fan since Funeral and it's great to see them FINALLY, after 7 years, to get the recognition they deserve. Way to go Arcade Fire, you guys really stepped it up and showed the world that good music can beat out that Eminem/Gaga/Perry/Antebellum bullshit. I respect you a million times more now!
