I found this vault a hell of a lot easier than the kong vault. I used this as a way of psyching myself up to do the kong.

It's good thing to know both :), and the bad thing, you won't be able to use travelling kong on think obstacle... you should use normal one...

same here. actually, i do a combo kong/traveling kong. i kong, then put another hand infront for balence as i exit. its weird, and i always do it (or at least on longer objects)

it is good for approaching obstacles at a angle.

it feels more comfortable and you can make it flow better than a traditional kong.. you can stay at the same level and come down to the ground less hard

@theloneminkus Yet there's proper ways of doing things, so you don't end up faceburst towards the floor. Everyone has a different body, but at the same time, our bodies share similarities and we as practitioners we should take a good look at those.

Something about waist high, not higher would be easier to learn.

Yeah, me too. AKA, its the easy way to extend your kongs when you are too much of a pussy to really dive. But they are still the best way to go at an angle.

These are particularly useful if you approach an obstacle at an angle, rather than straight on. This is a really good technique to learn cuz it unlimits your flow and keeps your line straighter. Good one!
