@666GrizzlyBeast the first Metal Gear game came out in the late 80's on the MSX2. Its included along with the 2nd game on the MGS3 disc.

The first actual Metal Gear Solid game came out in 1998 on the PS1. It got remade for Gamecube with better graphics, but tbh the original is far superior and is available on the PS Store for Download :D

in mgs3 u play as nakid snake(big boss).the dates of mgs3 where way before the dates of mgs1.during that timeline nakid snake(big boss)met a girl named eva.in the end thay made solid snake(who u play as in mgs1,start of 2,and all of 4)and liquid snake.hints why liquid always calls solid snake(brother)and why eva aka(big mama)tells solid snake that she is his mother and cannot do much to keep liquid from big bosses corpes.so solid snake has to stop liquid insted..pyroace14 comment if this helps)

Solidus snake is the only of the three clones that are genetically "perfect". Both solid and liquid are inferior, and of those two Solid is the disadvantaged one.

So Solid Snake is the most defect and "worst" of the clones and yet he managed the feats he does. This is one of the main themes througout metal gear, the fact that training and equipment is nothing compared to the will and passion of a soldier who has found a reason to fight.

OH MY GOD!!! Thank you for making this. The only mgs i've ever actually played was mgs3 and now I'm playing mgs4. I was sooooo confused. :P the only thing is I wish you talked about Ocelot cause I don't think he was even mentioned.

If you play mgs on the playstation liquid thought he was the defect but he actually wasnt. Also Solidus was a perfect replica of big boss. But for some reason Snake was the one who has his fighting prowness. I dont know why tho. Everything else I said is fact though

your wrong. Snake was the direct clone but Liquid was the defect. Thats why Snake is a more natural soldier and Liquid had to learn more.

@pyroace14 I thought it was the other way around. Snake got the dominate genes, Liquid god the recessive. Solidus was perfect (meaning an exact copy, not that he was overly special)

Um... I still don't get one thing? The real Big Boss was that Girl in MGS Snake Eater??? The one in the white suit? and when snake kills her, he is thought to be the Big Boss??

Well big boss is considered the best soldier in human history. With the genooms (genes) that are stored in his body, they could create an entire army of perfect soldiers. So they don't really want his body but only care about his genes.

Atleast that's what I understood, correct me if I'm wrong :)

Even being on older platforms, every MGS game is a great experience. I recommend getting the trilogy pack they have out now, its like 20 bucks for MGS1, 2, and 3.
