Shame like most of Hee Haw's musical guests, it's canned music, but it's still good! I've seen him do this in his live show in the 80's. He has so much music now a 2 hour show isn't enough to play just his biggest hits. Heard a preview of his new stuff and it is the best he's had in years!
Notice how Hank, Jr. released his new version of "Keep the Change" saying they were supposed to be talking about his father's new cd, but Fox and Friends just out of nowhere started bringing politics into the discussion. Bullshit, Hank brought up the golf game out of nowhere that no one else even cared about. Gretchen: "You used the name of one of the most hated people in all of the world to describe the President." Hank, Jr. "That is true, but I'm telling you like it is."
How can you listen to this shit? God damn, that's awful. I enjoy listening to Hank Williams III play with Superjoint Ritual, but that's as close as I'm going to get to this garbage.
I miss those good old civilized 70's when people didn't compare the president to Hitler. Like Johnny Cash said in a song, "It looks to me like they've all gone wild, it was peaceful back when I was a child."
@tamspeci he didnt compare the president to hitler...are you a coolaid drinker? or, can u think for yourself u show me where he compared obama to hitler
@methesponge Well I was a coolaid drinker when I was a kid in the 70's, but I've watched the clip again more careful & it's true he didn't compare the president to hitler. Still I miss 70's stuff like Hee Haw.
NOTE TO THE WORLD - this IGNORANT EGOTISTICAL man does NOT represent those of us Southerners who are educated, who do NOT live in a time warp, who have the GOOD SENSE not to take pride in our past moral transgressions. He's representative of an antiquated mindset that continues to give The South a bad reputation. This isn't the JIM CROW era anymore and his 'Rebel' rhetoric is blatant RACISM. I am a Caucasian, a native Southerner and I am APPALLED that ANYONE would support what he espouses!!!
Country Music would not be what it is or where it is today withouh Hank Sr and Hank Jr and Johnny Cash. Those 3 men in my opinion made Country Music. Before he fell 500 ft off that Montana Mountain, he looked and sounded a lot like his daddy. After surviving what would kill most people, he forged his own path and sound. Thank God he did!!!

@mmafinatic I don't think he's really country rock. His songs, "Hotel Whiskey", "Family Tradition", "Good friends, Good Whiskey, Good loving.","Whiskey bent and hell bound" "A country boy can survive" etc. I could go on forever, all sound country to me! Now his songs like "That's how they do it in dixie" sounds a bit country rock, but that's why I love Bocehpus, he has a wide variety of music, some of it golden like this, some of it garbage like "Texas Women."
@TheConfederate96 i mainly said that cause of songs like All my rowdy friends are comin over tonite and mixin w/ kidd rock.. plus i was feelin pretty good at the time (if ya know what i mean) and wanted some old old country when i said that hah
@mmafinatic ahhahahaha I get ya man. I get ya. Yeah, I like Bocephus' drinkin songs when I start "feeling good" too! I don't like most of his country rock sounding songs though.
This was a song actually written by Hank Sr, but he died before he could record it. It was on Hank Jr.'s album entitled " The songs my father left me" there were a total of 12 od 14 on the album.
the guy who says hank williams jr is scary...i mean if it dosent load put the thing all the way back and he looks weird..thumbs up if you had to do that
@altonjh lol. Wrong Hank Sr. was. 35 singles hitting in the top 10 with 11 hitting #1 is hard and Hank Sr. did it. Hank Jr. is good but first is always better.
@SixMoreMiles1 hank jr. fell from a cliff in montana, 75'. came close to dying.had numerous head and facial surgeries just to stay alive. after that he started wearing the dark glasses. grew the beard to cover up scars. completely changed his facial appearance. we are fortunate to still have him around.
