It's not that hard. All you have to do is be yourself, use your own expressions, if you don't know what somethings means then (discreetly) ask. Don't believe anything the so-called "tourist handbooks" tell you - half the stuff is outdated, and half the rest is unresearched bullshit. Just remember to drive on the left-hand side of the road, call 000 not 911, and that mate can but does not always mean friend, and you should be right.
