  • That was freaken awesome.

  • does anyone have the tab for this, i want to do it for my music performance, we have to perform something jazz, and i wanna do this cause it sounds like jazz. :D i cant find the tab anywhere

  • Mark, thanks for a wonderful rendition of this old classic... very impressive. You got that old down-home funk to it that gives it alot of character.

  • You got a great groove, Man!

  • hey man great playing and feel! i was just wonderin how long it took you to learn this? im not lazy its just i have a college recital in two months and wondered if i could learn it by then

  • sick....

  • Sounds great! Smooth :)

  • Sounds really good Mark. Can you (or anyone else in this thread) tell me where I can get accurate tabs for this song? Love it. Thanks alot!

  • F-cking awsome cover! i really dig it!

  • wonderful!magnificent!!!!!!bravissimo!!!!!!!!!!

    valerio,from italy

  • Excellent, thank you Chrys (from France)

  • Great feel on this one, could listen all day.

  • Hey man! Great video. You have 'the groove'! Make sure your thumb keeps on going

  • Sounds good! Thanks for sharing.

  • It reminds me of my childhood, my father playing those tunes, with Marcel Dadi's stuff. Great fingerpicking, Mark!

  • really enjoyed your version. I bet that Maton is fun to play!

  • Very important is this thing. " I play because I like it " :) i see you like your maton ;). Good feeling :)

  • VERY nice version -- great feel, really swinging groove. That Maton looks and sounds sweet. Outstanding!

  • officially my favorite version

i enjoy your use of double stops

  • I'm learning this one. I really liked your take on it. I use a thumbpick too and I think it sounds great!

    Gretsch'n

  • Great laid-back groove, that's a real musician playing.

  • The thumbpick sound is percussion.

I have done some original tunes. However, I like this song. This version is different than Tommy and Chet's versions.

Just because you prefer not to play with a thumbpick, does that mean I shouldn't use one?

  • sorry! Didn't mean to be so harsh!

  • ^^ This is coming from the person whose videos are mostly all Beatles covers.

  • Hey, thanks for checking! I was actually referring to a comment made on someone else's video. I had commented on this earlier. Sorry for the confusion.

  • @fanoguitar Thumbpick sound is how it's supposed to be =) He did originals, infact this is one of the originals cause he plays it in his own style, he doesn't play note by note how it says in some tab book or somewhere similar. He plays how he hears it at the time he's playing it, that's the music I like and you realy hear a person =)

  • @fanoguitar idiot

  • @TheCheeseandlemon LOL! You didn't read far enough to get to my original comment. This comment was in reply to Mark's comment on someone else's video, I don't even remember who. He was criticizing them for not using a thumbpick. All in fun you know.

  • Wow~ Great feel man! Excellent!

  • perfect play! Smooth and natural

  • Great! I love it.

    Martin

  • wow awesome

  • Hey man, greetings from Barcelona, Spain. I am so impressed...I´m studing this song and I have found the way you play really inspiring. A lot of soul and original character. I even prefer your version more than the Chet Atkins. Thanks a lot!

  • what an intro : )))

liked your cover much, I hope to play that good someday : ) inspiring

and how you make the strings wibrate sounds great to me

  • Sounds like an old friend. One of the greats. Done with style & class.

  • love this one...and how appropriate. The wind blew the roof off the mare's barn today! Now I will have a good song in my head when we fix it.

  • Wow man. Really great! Fancy telling me the notation for that class little lick you play at 2:09-2:12?

  • Thanks for your comment.

I don't actually have any notation for any of the licks. I learned this particular lick (at 2:09) by watching the Tommy Emmanuel, Live at Sheldon Hall DVD.

  • Always liked this one! Good job!

  • very good

    *****

  • That's so great Mark!!! I think it is better than the original one!! :D I wait for new releases by you!!!

    PACOFDL

  • I appreciate your kind words. However, Tommy did a couple of different arrangements of Windy and Warm. His arrangements are unbelievable. My playing doesn't approach his even on my best day.

  • i won't feel complete until I can do something half as good :-)

  • That's the Spirit!! Sounds really good. You've made it your song, not Tommy's, that's good! You can hear you're a proffesional. It's an honor to get a positive comment from you. I will upload some new videos soon.

    Lars

  • Hey very nice!!! I have the strange feeling that all Maton guitars are great, 'cuz your guitar sounds very nice (although the player makes a big part of the work ^^)... How much did that guitar cost you? 'Cuz I'm thinking about getting a new guitar (acoustic maybe) and Maton looks and sounds great.

  • Hey, I liked that alot!! I enjoy that style of playing.

  • great job mark...sounds killer!!

  • Great stuff, you got that one swingin' :) I detected a note of ex-lead guitarist guru in there...but once you've tasted fingerstyle, how boring is everything else!

    Keep 'em coming.

    JAW

  • Thanks JAW. I've been checking out some of your vids. You're a great player.

Yea, I played electric for many years before being inspired by the great T.E.

  • What a great performance! love it

  • wow Maton :)

  • wow very nice feel and groove

  • Thanks Scott. I have enjoyed your lessons with Tommy. Thanks for uploading those.

  • Class act. what a groove you managed in there!

Boy, that left thumb of yours is ENORMOUS!!

    ;-)

    PAscal.

  • You ought to see my feet! Thanks for your response. Coming from someone with your talent, I feel honored.
