After all this time I think I realize something. It's La as in Los Angeles. But wasn't capitalized because Asy and Chloe were so young when the cd She Like Electric went to print. Everyone just left it alone. But the song does have a LA punk sound. Because the rhythym has a pumping sound typical of the LA punk concert scene. Anyway La Pump is actually Los Angeles Pump. shortened to LA. Just a theory guys and girls....

There's nothing wrong with their songs, unless you'd like to start blasting Lou Reed, Patti Smith, The Ramones, PJ O'Rourke, etc. One word--Honest.

By the time they're 16 they'll be a powerhouse. And the best part is the songs aren't Hanson bubble-gum - they're dark at times and not at all what you'd expect from two young ladies whose combined age = 25. Cut'em some slack!
