The phones are not actually popping the corn. They removed the magnatron out of a microwave and then extended the wires connecting the microwave box and the magnatron and placed the magnatron under the table.

CaucasianBushhead - or a tad bit easier way they used photoshop to remove the kernals and drop popcorn onto the table making it look like it popped. that way you dont have to fuck up a microwave.
