@4sm2use Beethoven. It is also traditionally played each year on Remembrance Sunday, immediately after The Queen and Royal Family have laid their wreaths at the Cenotaph.
Cool drum cadence, but it is not the right one. The navy choir was actually singing at the white house lawn when the procession returned from the capitol.
@HelmerReenberg How did you acquire this color footage of JFK's funeral? I vividly recall watching the funeral as an 8 year old boy in black and white.
@TheTweeter53 What I have from CBS was in black & white too. Now I've seen NBC's in color though but was it color at the time or was it 'touched up later'?
Amazing footage. I was five years old when this happened and I'm sorry to say I remember nothing about this.

Does anyone know the name of the funeral dirge at 5:59? It was used for slow march at the queen mother's funeral.

I was only 9 when this happened. I came home from school that day and my mom was crying. Tragic times.

What is the name of the piece starting at around 6:01 or so? That is an awesome march.

Where'd you find this? BTW, I recommended you to DavidVonPein, who's also a JFK buff.
