It's a little known fact that the character from this trailer isn't the Warden from Dragon Age: Origins, he was actually written to originally be Warden Commander Asturian. Of course they lose a little continuity showing him with Morrigan, Sten and Leliana in the Sacred Ashes trailer, but story takes a backseat to promoting what was a fledgling game at the time.

the warden battled trought an entire horde of darkspawn. good hawke has done as well.

both have killed a dragon. but the warden twice(in the addon the second time):

but the warden rescued the world by killing the archdemon. hawke plunged the world in chaos again by taking part in the templar/mage conflict.

i personal think the warden is cooler.

@MICHAELSSJ4 As far as I know, he's just a generic guy for the trailer. There's a mod on the nexus forums that recreates him for in-game use but I'm guessing he's a warrior class. The spooky eyes are probably just done in the trailer to show that he's not just some ordinary human. That's as much of a spoiler as I'll post. If you don't have the game, I would highly recommend the GotY edition on Steam.

Why do the Warden's eyes glow in this trailer? That doesn't relate to anything that happens in the game itself...

I get what's happening in the trailer, though... which is a pretty nifty reference to something kind of obscure in the Dragon Age story, the "Calling," where a Warden, as he nears the point where the darkspawn taint will finally drive him mad, enters the Deep Roads to die in battle, taking down as many darkspawn as he can in the process.

Nah, it's just part of the Dragon Age mythology. Doesn't really come up in the story, you just learn about it if you probe Alistair for information on the Wardens, or if it comes up while you're talking to certain dwarves.

You can't upload the character. However, the game is supposed to take into account the choices you made with your Origins character--apparently even if you played Origins on a different platform. The game itself centers on a new character who escaped the destruction of Lothering during the Blight, and traveled to a different region of Thedas. Apparently it also takes place over the span of a decade... it's an interesting concept, I think.
