Amazing... This was before Roger Rabbit became an obsolete character, before Tomorrowland heralded a Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor, before ExtraTERRORestrial Alien Encounter was replaced by Stitch's Great Escape!, before Captain Jack Sparrow was added to Pirates of the Caribbean, before Wishes ever lit up the night sky, before the Wonders of Life pavilion housed only special events, before The Living Seas was centered around Finding Nemo, before Test Track even opened! Sure was a long time ago!
This vacation planning video helped inspire my family's first trip to WDW in Nov. '99! Our first trip was during the Millennium Celebration. Our second trip was during the Year of a Million Dreams. And our third and latest trip was just under three weeks ago, during the Let the Memories Begin! campaign.
@Yamah12a NO NO NO NO NO !!!!! Walter Elias Disney was not a nazi!!!! During a strike by his studio's employees in the 1940's, some employees accused him of being anti-semitic, but it was merely a tactic to resolve the dispute. Walt Disney fully believed in America and its people. Just look at his opening speech for Disneyland.... >>>> Next post >>>
"To all who come to this happy place: Welcome. Disneyland is your land. Here age relives fond memories of the past, and here youth may savor the challenge and promise of the future. Disneyland is dedicated to the ideals, the dreams, and the hard facts that have created America, with the hope that it will be a source of joy and inspiration to all the world. ”
@hamursh Ahh, but they need to update it (Bay Lake Tower still isn't in 3D!) - maybe they're waiting to do so until the Fantasyland Expansion is completed. While Google Earth is great, nothing can beat going to WDW for real!!
i remember this when i was 5!!! though i wish i could have gone on Alien Encounter before they turned into the Stitch thing, i also really miss Body Wars even thogh i cried every time i went on it because it scared the hell out of me

@scotfreak Alien Encounter was incredible. Stitch doesn't even remotely come close to its awesomeness.
