From all singers today it is my humble opinion that Beyoncé does it best. She has the volume and clarity you need for this song. Aguilera is always pressing and ornamenting, just to overplay the fact she has no volume. That is not her fault per se, she is just a small person.

For all those who say Beyonce cant sing you must be hard of hearing & should invest in a hearing aid! She can sing & just because Etta James who has or HAD Alzheimer's mentioned what she thought about B singing her song who r yall to hate??? Did yall do the song?? Obviously Beynce would be the better choice considering she played her in the movie & obviously has an amazing voice. Etta James was sick as hell with Leukemia & various other diseases. Chill out ppl & RIP Etta James.

it was etta james people! etta james! and besides she admitted she was playing! there were and are other singers that were just as good as beyonce. I get so tired of people who put her on this pedestal like there were no other artists that paved the way for her! chill the hell out.

It seems like she is the type that would attempt changing music history ;; for saying tina turner is the queen.
Plus, her dad as her manager ? No wonder she gets what and where she wants.
