  • This stuff is nuts! Canis Majoris is 7 quadrillion x bigger than earth! if the earth were a golf ball Canis Majoris would be the state of Texas and you could fill it 2feet deep!

  • This shit makes much better dubstep than Skrillex.

  • What's about Saggitarius A* ?

  • @LaSuperbario, what about it? I doubt very much that the surface of a black hole has any kind of seismology, but according to the algorithm that is being used I guess it has a very very low-pitched sound

  • What is the astronomy visualization software you were using!? Is it proprietary? The graphics are fantastic, I'd love to get my hands on that.

  • @jazzlehazzle, MPL3D Solar System v1.2 in this video. Releasing soon v1.3

(how did I miss this message? Sorry)

    Thanks for your comment :)

  • so is there a standard multipication or doubling of sound to create this one? if so are there examples of ones doubled even further- or would that put them out of audible range- a good website for further info in this speciality? (this is all new to me! well sort of- i guess my star dust self used to talk like that!)

  • @welkinearth396, well not really. What you can hear here is an extreme simplification of the real 'sounds', but it is not a 'standard' computation, we made up our own approximation with the available tools in our hands.

In this computation, sounds out of audible range would belong to the white dwarfs for the high pitch, and to the red giants for the low pitch.

Perform a google search for 'Helioseismology' to find the best websites about this ;o)

  • 50 Alpha Cygni sounds like a purring kitty... some how.

  • is Antares going to die as well?

  • @dragontail2k6, Antares approaches the next stage, but it is not so close as others stars like Betelgeuse.

  • Good, I don't know that was possible.

  • @ludovisuis, great that it was illustrative.
