All you need to do is create a white still frame...you can do that in the title program...then put the clip at the end of the video clip and now add the dissolve between the two clips. You will now dissolve from your video to a white still. You can adjust the speed of this by adjusting your fade.

I'm having an issue with this program. When I put a compatible video file in the sound track, it plays just fine when I scroll back. I can hear it play backwards and it sounds weird like it should. But when I go to play it forward, it makes no noise. I've tried adjusting the volume, but it doesn't work. Please help.
Awesome tutorial wow I never even knew I could do all this with pinnacle...but one question why do my videos take so long to load on the timeline? Like when I place em on the timeline this green bar appears where the time segments are and its like loading the vids?

@noppesnada1 Pinnacle Studio does come with Dazzle...I am not sure which version it comes with. In this training video I am running Pinnacle Studio 14/15 Ultimate Collection. The Ultimate Collection comes with the most content, transitions, effects and plug-ins. I would recommend you check with the packaging for the Dazzle or the Website to see which version the Dazzle comes with.
@AnthonyMartorina I got it today, took one gameplay and now I have a couple of questions: The quality is a little weird, kinda pixel like. How can I fix this? And it took really long for the program to create the video, even moviemaker was faster, how can?
@noppesnada1 I have never had or used the Dazzle box so I am not quite sure what is going on. I am assuming that you are bringing in the video via Analog Cables (RCA)? I am going to send you a link and maybe you can find your answer there. I will see if I can also find out somemore information.
@Rukniroawkean The logo shows up on effects and filter that you do not own in your version. There are 3 different versions...Pinnacle Studio HD, Ultimate and Ultimate Collection. The Ultimate Collection has all of the effects and you will not see a Pinnacle Logo blocking anything. But if you own the least expensive version Pinnacle Studio HD, then if you use an effect you do not own the logo will show up. You need to upgrade or go to Settings and turn off show premium content. @OneFoolShow Yes Pinnacle Studio does work with HD footage. If I was you I would download the free 30 day trial version and try it on your computer with the HD clips to see how it runs. Sometimes the problem is the computer not being fast enough to process the HD clips.

@JeffHardyRocks3000 That is always a hard question to answer and has a lot to do with your skill level is with video editing. I know that Pinnacle Studio is really easy for a beginner but it has some amazing advanced features. There are a bunch of free tutorials here on You Tube that will help teach you Pinnacle Studio...so I would spend some time and watch them...it will help you get familiar with the program. Also download the 30 day free trial.

@xXw1LLXx10 There are 3 different versions of Pinnacle Studio. If you are seeing a watermark, then that effect is not in the version you purchased. The only way to remove it would be to upgrade to the higher version. There is the HD, Ultimate and Ultimate Colleciton...each one has more content and effects in that order.
@EzriaLove The version I am running is the Ultimate Collection...there are three different versions for Pinnacle Studio. Each level comes with more content and effects. The Ultimate Colleciton comes with all of the effects...I am assuming that you do not have that version...if you do have that version make sure that you loaded all of the discs that came with your program!
@Honolulki This is really easy to do. Drop your Voiceover into the audio timeline and select it. Open Toolbox from drop down menu and Select Add Audio Effects. Click on the Plug (on left) and select Speed and select OK. The filter is on your audio clip. Now speed up the clip and uncheck the HOLD PITCH box...this will give you the Chipmonk sound you want! Have fun!!!
@pickles77778 It can be done in Pinnacle Studio too. Simply put a speed change on the audio clip. Turn off Hold Pitch and then speed up the clip and you will be listening to chipmonks!!!

@malikaklim Remember that a speed change on a voice can be created in Pinnacle Studio. Go to your Audio Toolbox and select the Plug in Icon and now select Speed. This will allow us to change the speed of a voice to go faster or slower. Also if you want the chipmonk sound then un check the Hold Pitch Button.
@Honolulki This is really easy to do and you can do it in Pinnacle Studio. Select your audio clip and go into the Audio Toolbox. Select the plug in Icon and now select Speed. Turn off "Hold Pitch" and pull slider to right to speed up voice! And you now have a chipmonk!!!
@dsxest You can convert any of your clips in the timeline into another format...it depends on what you are converting it into. Check from the list of Files under Make Movie...these are the different formats you can export to.
@dantan1234 If you have the Ultimate Collection then it comes with all of the Red Giant Plug Ins that will let you create After Effect type looks...particles, animated lines, smoke, light rays from behind the video, film filters, etc. Also the Motion Titler also lets you animate your titles...which can also be done in After Effects but it takes a higher skill level in order to create those...Pinnacle Studio makes it really easy to create those types of animated titles.
@LogiXstiCs Go to Transitions and Select 2D Transitions...grab the first Transition in the Album called "Fade In or Out" and drag it to the clip on the timeline. Drop it at the beginning of the clip and it is a fade up and Drop it at the end of a clip it is a fade down. You can also adjust the duration of the fade by dragging the end of the effect...when you place your cursor over the line you will see blue arrows appear.

@xSiiKxCluTch I believe that you are looking at the hard drive of your computer for video capture. It is telling you that you have 180 GB of space left to capture video.
@ljaureguiv Pinnacle Studio comes in three versions and each one edits in SD and HD. The top version is called the Ultimate Collection and it comes with all of the effects...I highly recommend that one because it has so much in it. It also comes with a green screen too.
i bought a dazzle capture card that CAME with this which is y i bought the dazzle then i make a mw2 montage, no effects.then i see this and im thinking ohh fantastic i can do lots of things with this neat program... then i find out i need to spend 50 more dollars on top of the 80 i already spend to get to use these features now thats called being fucked royaly in the asshole

There are three different versions of the software & each one has different effects & costs(different prices based on effects and content) For example, I just did a search for a Pinnacle Studio Moviebox(Hardware&Top Software) and I found it for 149.99. If u upgrade, then it costs $130.So u would save.
@StRilleXGamerz Do you have the top version...Ultimate Collection? That version has all of the effects? The Ultimate Version is the middle version, so it will not have everything. You can shut off premium content by going to Setup and then selecting Project Preferences...then uncheck the two boxes that talk about Premium Content and Premium Effects. This way you will never see effects or content that you do not have.

@FsimulatorX The Pinnacle Studio 15 Ultimate Collection includes over 2,200 effects and other content including a complete suite of professional Red Giant plug-ins. If you are looking to upgrade, I would also look at AVID Studio too. Biggest feature that I like is unlimitted layers of video and audio. You should check it out.
@Gamewinningkillcams1 I am not sure what you are looking for...this video was created using Pinnacle Studio 14 Ultimate Collection...the look of the interface is the same but the version in the training video may have more effects then the version you are currently using. The editing software works the same though.
@Gamewinningkillcams1 I would contact Pinnacle Tech Support because as long as you have your serial number they will be able to get you a new disc to fix the problem.

@xTheMightyRyan It sounds like you have the basic version...there are three versions of Studio 14: Basic, Ulitmate and Ultimate Collection. I was using Ultimate Collection when creating these videos, so that is why you see so many effects. Studio 15 and AVID studio have recently been released...you can update your current version of Studio 14 to one of these...if you like all of those effects then upgrade to Studio 15 Ultimate Collection or AVID Studio to get them.
@TeamzResist Isolating Colors is very cool but you are going to need secondary color correction...which is a professional feature. Remember that Pinnacle Studio does have Chroma Key built in so you can definately use the picker to isolate a single color in your video but Chroma Key was not made for this type of work. Depending on how you shoot it you may be able to get away with it.
@frenchie117 Adding a voiceover to your video is quite easy. Once you have your video in the timeline, go to your Audio Toolbox, click on the microphone icon & this will open your voiceover recording tool. Park the cursor in the timeline of where you want to add commentary(make sure you have a microphone hooked up via stereo pin or via USB...MAudio Producer USB mic works great) Now select record and your video starts playing and you can record your voice. Hit Stop to end.
@Daxterdog1016 Pinnacle Studio and AVID studio have a free trial you can download from there website in order to try out the software to make sure you like it before you buy it.
@MarcVetter if you are considering trying video editing for entertainment use. i would suggest Adobe After Effects and Sony Vegas Pro. Two awesome programs that are really high quality. Adobe after effects great for intro making and Sony Vegas great for editing videos, cutting clips, fixing the slightest details in a video.
@MarcVetter Avid is better but Avid and Pinnacle are pretty much the same but Avid has a different set up (not too different than Pinnacle set up) but Avid has more features
@MarcVetter AVID and Pinnacle are the same company. Pinnacle makes the consumer based editing software and AVID makes the film/television professional software. So it kinds of depends on what kind of film maker you consider yourself. Are you a beginner or an advanced? Do you make home movies or action 3D flicks? @DrunkenTwizzler This depends: 1)On capture you can save your files as MPEG. 2) On import you are stuck to the file size of how you shot it in your camera. (some cameras might let you change this setting?) 3) On export you have a number of different file sizes you can export to.
@fish763456 Yes this is normal...if you have the Basic Version or Ultimate some effects may have the protective watermark. If you have Pinnacle Studio: Ultimate Collection then none of your effects will have the watermark on it.
@fish763456 Pinnacle Studio has 3 levels of the software...if you have one of the beginning levels then all of the effects are not included and the Pinnacle watermark appears. You can upgrade your version of the software to the Ultimate Collection Version in order to get all of the effects. Remember too that AVID just released...Pinnacle Studio 15 and AVID Studio for the PC...very cool editing programs...you may want to upgrade to the latest editing software! (just a tip)
@AnthonyMartorina i dont use the pinnacle studio importer.i use a sony cybershot DSC W350 its HD 720p.my camera has a program that is installed into my computer called PMB portable or something.i use that to save it into my computer and then when its in my files i drag it

I know that Pinnacle Studio is really easy for a beginner but it has some amazing advanced features. There are a bunch of free tutorials here on You Tube that will help teach you Pinnacle Studio...so I would spend some time and watch them...it will help you get familiar with the program. Also download the 30 day free trial.

@xXw1LLXx10 There are 3 different versions of Pinnacle Studio. If you are seeing a watermark, then that effect is not in the version you purchased. The only way to remove it would be to upgrade to the higher version. There is the HD, Ultimate and Ultimate Colleciton...each one has more content and effects in that order.

@EzriaLove The version I am running is the Ultimate Collection...there are three different versions for Pinnacle Studio. Each level comes with more content and effects. The Ultimate Colleciton comes with all of the effects...I am assuming that you do not have that version...if you do have that version make sure that you loaded all of the discs that came with your program!

@Honolulki This is really easy to do. Drop your Voiceover into the audio timeline and select it. Open Toolbox from drop down menu and Select Add Audio Effects. Click on the Plug (on left) and select Speed and select OK. The filter is on your audio clip. Now speed up the clip and uncheck the HOLD PITCH box...this will give you the Chipmonk sound you want! Have fun!!!

@malikaklim Remember that a speed change on a voice can be created in Pinnacle Studio. Go to your Audio Toolbox and select the Plug in Icon and now select Speed. This will allow us to change the speed of a voice to go faster or slower. Also if you want the chipmonk sound then un check the Hold Pitch Button.

@dsxest You can convert any of your clips in the timeline into another format...it depends on what you are converting it into. Check from the list of Files under Make Movie...these are the different formats you can export to.

@dantan1234 If you have the Ultimate Collection then it comes with all of the Red Giant Plug Ins that will let you create After Effect type looks...particles, animated lines, smoke, light rays from behind the video, film filters, etc. Also the Motion Titler also lets you animate your titles...which can also be done in After Effects but it takes a higher skill level in order to create those...Pinnacle Studio makes it really easy to create those types of animated titles.

@LogiXstiCs Go to Transitions and Select 2D Transitions...grab the first Transition in the Album called "Fade In or Out" and drag it to the clip on the timeline. Drop it at the beginning of the clip and it is a fade up and Drop it at the end of a clip it is a fade down. You can also adjust the duration of the fade by dragging the end of the effect...when you place your cursor over the line you will see blue arrows appear.

@ThePowerOfTheProton If you really want to use that effect then you have to upgrade your current version. Pinnacle Studio comes in three versions: HD, Ultimate and Ultimate Collection. Ultiamte Collection is the highest version of the software and comes with all of the effects.

i bought a dazzle capture card that CAME with this which is y i bought the dazzle then i make a mw2 montage, no effects.then i see this and im thinking ohh fantastic i can do lots of things with this neat program... then i find out i need to spend 50 more dollars on top of the 80 i already spend to get to use these features now thats called being fucked royaly in the asshole

There are three different versions of the software & each one has different effects & costs(different prices based on effects and content) For example, I just did a search for a Pinnacle Studio Moviebox(Hardware&Top Software) and I found it for 149.99. If u upgrade, then it costs $130.So u would save.

@StRilleXGamerz Do you have the top version...Ultimate Collection? That version has all of the effects? The Ultimate Version is the middle version, so it will not have everything. You can shut off premium content by going to Setup and then selecting Project Preferences...then uncheck the two boxes that talk about Premium Content and Premium Effects. This way you will never see effects or content that you do not have.

@FsimulatorX The Pinnacle Studio 15 Ultimate Collection includes over 2,200 effects and other content including a complete suite of professional Red Giant plug-ins. If you are looking to upgrade, I would also look at AVID Studio too. Biggest feature that I like is unlimitted layers of video and audio. You should check it out.

The editing software works the same though.

@xTheMightyRyan It sounds like you have the basic version...there are three versions of Studio 14: Basic, Ulitmate and Ultimate Collection. I was using Ultimate Collection when creating these videos, so that is why you see so many effects. Studio 15 and AVID studio have recently been released...you can update your current version of Studio 14 to one of these...if you like all of those effects then upgrade to Studio 15 Ultimate Collection or AVID Studio to get them.

@TeamzResist Isolating Colors is very cool but you are going to need secondary color correction...which is a professional feature. Remember that Pinnacle Studio does have Chroma Key built in so you can definately use the picker to isolate a single color in your video but Chroma Key was not made for this type of work. Depending on how you shoot it you may be able to get away with it.

@frenchie117 Adding a voiceover to your video is quite easy. Once you have your video in the timeline, go to your Audio Toolbox, click on the microphone icon & this will open your voiceover recording tool. Park the cursor in the timeline of where you want to add commentary(make sure you have a microphone hooked up via stereo pin or via USB...MAudio Producer USB mic works great) Now select record and your video starts playing and you can record your voice. Hit Stop to end.

@MarcVetter if you are considering trying video editing for entertainment use. i would suggest Adobe After Effects and Sony Vegas Pro. Two awesome programs that are really high quality. Adobe after effects great for intro making and Sony Vegas great for editing videos, cutting clips, fixing the slightest details in a video.

So it kinds of depends on what kind of film maker you consider yourself. Are you a beginner or an advanced? Do you make home movies or action 3D flicks? 2) On import you are stuck to the file size of how you shot it in your camera. (some cameras might let you change this setting?)
3) On export you have a number of different file sizes you can export to.

@fish763456 Yes this is normal...if you have the Basic Version or Ultimate some effects may have the protective watermark. If you have Pinnacle Studio: Ultimate Collection then none of your effects will have the watermark on it.

@fish763456 Pinnacle Studio has 3 levels of the software...if you have one of the beginning levels then all of the effects are not included and the Pinnacle watermark appears. You can upgrade your version of the software to the Ultimate Collection Version in order to get all of the effects. Remember too that AVID just released...Pinnacle Studio 15 and AVID Studio for the PC...very cool editing programs...you may want to upgrade to the latest editing software! (just a tip)

@AnthonyMartorina i dont use the pinnacle studio importer.i use a sony cybershot DSC W350 its HD 720p.my camera has a program that is installed into my computer called PMB portable or something.i use that to save it into my computer and then when its in my files i drag it
