@MaryanaS01 You're right. I've been using both omron and lange calipers with my clients for over 10 years and Omron is usually 2% less than calipers on all types of bodies; men, women athlete or regular people. I used it on myself this morning and it said 19% and I was like yeah right. I know my body and I'm about 2-3% higher right now. Omron gives you a good idea but it's not the most accurate.
This machine is showing a higher number for her than the caliper, because she only took one measurement with the caliper, instead of three measurements. Remember she said that you have to measure your whole body. You take three measurements in different spots. Women (Your triceps, your abdomen and thigh) Men (Your chest, your abdomen and thigh). If you watch a health show and see a personal trainer use a caliper on a client to find out their bf%, you will see what I am talking about.
My scale says I got 15 percent, this one says I'm 4.0 %! But when I calculated on a website it said i'm 8 %. I think these monitors calibrate everything at once.
I sport medium clothing, and sometimes we're large shirts. I did this a few days ago and I got 5.4% on the very same thing, then I checked their gym scale and stood on top of it, with the device in my hands and the number went up a few times the next day. So I think standing on the scale is more accurate. I got 8.4%. 5;11 age 26 male.
@kitkatreema The omron is actually quite accurate. It makes a difference if your wearing a jumper or if your hydrated. Measure your weight and hight with no clothes on as shoes make a difference to your hight and clothes make a difference to your weight. If measuring your bodyfat take your top off for a more accurate reading as the electrical current will pass through your clothing giving an inacurate result.

@shav0nne The omron is very accurate compared to other hand held monitors. Your nutritionist probably uses a different model and a different way of bodyfat monitoring. Callipers for example give different readings compared to a hydrostatic aproach to bodyfat monitoring. A POD is probably the most accurate way of measuring bodyfat.
there's no way that girl is at 20 something % body fat! It didn't seem accurate at all. Plus u have to do it in the morning on an empty stomach before u drink anything. I did it the last 2 mornings and it said 15% then 15.5%. That seems accurate to me, but l still don't know how to find out how accurate these things are.
Uhhh the other caliper thing showed her 13.2% vs this 22%....
which one is good?
