Saying every other culture needs their own month suggests that other cultures have the same, if not similar, history of systemic discrimination in the US. And if that's what you believe, then I can't even be upset because it really is an easy subject to get lost in, especailly for those who have no background or personal investment in race scholarship and only a relatively passing interest. Black History Month is an American celebration to acknowledge a specific part of American history.
