  • Can you help me on how to setup the blade tracking or pitch on a dynam e razor 450 helicopter with the 2.4ghz transmitter? Can you please post a video? ??

  • @504GENUWINE

    I don't have the 2.4ghz radio, otherwise I would!

Check out my CCPM 120 setup video, it'll show you the linkages, you need to set these up properly first, then you adjust the link lengths to bring the blade tracking into the same plane.

If you search for "how to adjust blade tracking" there are some good videos showing you how to do that as well, it's not radio specific, so those videos will help.

    Hope that helps.

    Cheers!

    David.

  • hey i cant change my spur gear could you please make a video on how

  • @random1265

Hey, that's a great idea for a video, I'd like to make that how-to video, but I might not be able to get to it for another couple weeks.

In the mean time, here's a quick description: Remove the 4 top screws holding the top brace, remove the two motor mount screws on top, remove the bottom 2 screws holding the plastic block that centers the axel, 2 screws holding the diff, remove bumper(1 center screw, 2 screws below), now pull out your diff along with the spur.

  • @DavidSunshine867 thanks so much for that mate.. I also wanted to tell you that there is a sale on kyosho mini inferno parts you can buy c hubs in aluminium for only 3 pound.. =6$ so maybe considering the speeds your running at u mite cwant so aluminum whhel hexagon things as they were off pretty eeasily. Ps.. Ur area in which u live lokks familiar. Is it somewhere in uk??

  • @random1265

    Anytime.

Cool, thanks for the tip for the sale, that's a good deal, definitely worth it!

Nope, I'm in Canada, Vancouver, I guess it looks like the UK. haha. There's a lot of people from the UK living here tho, friendly bunch, my barber's from Manchester. The world's big, but it's smaller than you'd think.

They say we all know each other through at least 6 people. It's probably true.

    Cheers.

    David.

  • @DavidSunshine867 hey mate heres the link go on global ebay and type in alloy kyosho mini inferno and choose country

  • @random1265

Once you have the diff and spur out, you can just use an allen key to remove the dogbone socket and remove the 2 screws that hold the slipper clutch onto the spur gear, slide it all off and replace. Installation is reverse of removal.

Here's a tip, tape down a couple pieces of paper, and draw out the car where you're taking screws out of, take the screws out, and that's your step #1, draw again for step #2, again for #3, now you can work your way backwards easily!

  • I think things are getting tweaked at the speeds your running. Mine hasn't done that but i did glue an old wheel hex nut to the chassis under the other side of the motor to stop it from flexing too much during G force. FYI I found out that GOTNITRO.com has a car called the Photon that uses about 80% of the same parts and they show up at my house the next day if I order before noon!Seattle. I dont know if they ship to Canada but it might be worth a shot, at least until HK stocks the parts in USA

  • @chukfunk

Thanks, great info on the Photon, it'll be a good resource for parts when we need them quick.

I don't think the speeds are tweaking things, because everyone's turnigy monster beatle comes with a spur gear that sticks out the bottom, and it'll only stick out if it's angled downwards, doesn't your spur gear protrude from the bottom a little bit? Check the angle, you'll find that it's pointing down ever so slightly.

I'm going to try and straighten it out so it doesn't stick out.

  • Hi David,

Yes, the Spur is at an angle, but the stock motor is aligned from the factory to fit due to the mount being bent accordingly. When we upgrade the motor, we will need to do some heating and bending. :)

  • @seemonseemonster

Oh that makes sense, but if the mount plate is flat, the new motor's shaft should be at the same angle as

the stock one, which means the stock motor must have been at an angle with the spur as well.

I've got some footage of the stock setup, maybe I'll take a look to see what the stock angle was.

I would rather straighten out the spur than angle the motor to fix it. The problem is the spur angle afterall.

  • @DavidSunshine867 i ont know whats wrong with your car but i do know were to get parts and upgrades from. you can get them from gonitroonline and nitrotek on nitrotek all parts fit and its called the acme pioneer but on gonitroonline only some fit as its a buggy but on nitrotek its a truggy so its alright. also turnigy and photon are the same name for acme if you do not believe me go to go nitro and on the bottom of the page it says acme distibutor

  • @random1265

I think the spur gear is at an angle on all the cars, it was designed like that. And they all stick out the bottom of the car, and scrape on the ground while driving around.

Everyone needs to put a metal plate there with an indent in it, otherwise the spur will get sand into it and wear down quickly.

Thanks for the tips on the photo. I believe you. It's one vendor, and it's just rebranded a bunch of times.

    Cheers.

    David.

  • thanks david. i've watched all your videos regarding this model.

  • @titobi25

    Anytime my friend.

I hope I helped you make an informed decision on it.

That's the purpose of my reviews, they are to uncover everything you need to know about it.

I also put important info in the description, sometimes warnings and precautions, and emphasis on points, so don't miss out on anything in there.

    Cheers,

    David.

  • @DavidSunshine867 how about the diff gears on this car. you havent strip them? even running it at 110kph?

  • @titobi25

They are metal, so they should be strong. Other people in the HK site haven't said anything either, i checked a few months ago when I purchased it.

Road driving isn't so bad on the gears, the slip clutch saves the drive train pretty well.

I'm not sure I'd you'll need them for off roading tho, might be worth ordering just the gears, I think it's only a couple bucks.

  • hi i planning to get this from HK. except for spur gear what spare parts should i get. top 10 spares. thank you.

  • @titobi25

    Hi, great question!

I have listed the parts, with URL links, in the description of this video.

Also, you can refer to the main review video of the beatle, which is linked at the beginning of this video.

    Regards,

    David.
