  • funny

  • Wait so was instantly or over the course of an hour or more? Because I didn't think Lava could even cool that fast.

  • Sorry this coments is for another uploader the hole in the water.

  • Uploaders big ass hole.

  • @danschaoticmind They are indeed, I remember being so baffled when I was younger... kinda like SEM and ... woosh.. I have no idea, please educate me lol google didn't help. I do know however that its due to the speed of the cooling and de-pressurisation of the lava spewing up that cause a "matrix formation" of bubbles inside. Do you know if they have CO2 still inside, never considered that...

  • in Seychelles on curtain beaches facing the open oceans where i used to body board, small volcanic stone formations would float on the waves. apparently they are sometimes spewed out from the ocean bottoms. There are very lightweight an porous too. good for sharpening needles.

for people that are unsure think of its as heavy as vermiculite or perlite :)

Nice pics, very very very rare footage

  • @Tubz101 Pumice is one of the most interesting rock types IMO produced from volcanic eruptions. Especially at the SEM level where individual radiation decay pits are observed.

  • that was amazing.

  • thats freaking awesome ! love mother nature and it's incredible way's of keeping itself alive....too bad it's creating room for more of us to destroy it.

  • 0:11 Earth "MY WATER BROKE!!!" 0:37 Some God "C'mon baby PUSH!" 0:51 Earth "AHHHHHHHHRGGG!!!!!" 1:02 *POP* Some God "CONGRATULATIONS! It's a baby girl!" Earth "OH She's so beautiful!"

  • I would put a flag on that and claim it and start my own land!

  • nature at its best

  • @hobbohippy2 Don't you just LOVE IT?!?!

  • cool

  • No, not Americans invading.... MEXICAN ALIENS!!

  • Well done video. I am so jealous I was not there to see that. The whole floating pumice stones is the coolest part IMHO.

    Dr. Ron

  • @segundooron WOW ! ME TOO ! Once in a lifetime experence !

  • oh wait....the Americans will try and invade this island. Then do as they usually do and sink after they get there.

  • GO EARTH GO!!!

  • i'd wanna be the first person to get layed on it... obviously.

  • All I gotta say is...wow...that is a trip...

  • This Island was claimed by the ocean not to long after this video was taken. That must have been an amazing sight to see an island form right in front of your eyes.

  • wow

  • Looks like that could be Kavachi.

  • R.I.P guam

  • The stuff floating on the water is Pumice, volcanic glass with air bubbles trapped inside.

  • I CLAIM IT IN THE NAME OF LIBERTARIANISM! I called it you all saw me!

haha seriously though if I saw an active volcanoe I would GTFO of there ASAP, flaming rocks from the sky are not my cup of tea.

  • A New Island being Born nice

  • That was awesome man and dont take those silly comments , thier just finding fault in others to feel better about them self

  • I bet your menis is a minus, aahahaaahahaha!!

  • Very Kool.

  • very cool

    late tonga?

  • that was photoshopped.

  • Yacht.....$120,000

    Fishing gear.......$210

    Life Vests.......$345

    Lines and harnesses.....$870

Opportunity to claim an Island not yet charted.........PRICELESS

  • @MrDonster2009 all this money whoever took these photo's couldn't afford a video camera ! what with all these pictures and no video footage ?

  • @spellgrounds how bout you go see for yourself. would'nt you like to see this in real life and not be looking thru a camera lense while your having something this incredible happen right before your eyes?

  • @MrDonster2009 what is the point of claiming an active volcano?

  • @kozmon0t cheap house heating?

  • @MrDonster2009 i think a yacht cost a lot more than that

  • So many mistakes in this video. I will say it's cute and all. I like your intentions but damn

  • @passiveMenis Don't be such a menis and not back what you're saying! WHAT mistakes?

  • @passiveMenis only mistake round here is you.

  • Stupid.

  • god i hate people trying to be funny on youtube

  • with a different music...it would be like: "we saw the Apocalypse"

  • That's pretty neat. Nice find.

The island's probably already named. The pummeling from the waves erodes the new island after so long, then the volcano-that-could spits out more. This makes a cycle that repeats for a while. If the volcanic activity continues for long enough, it will be a full-fledge island.

  • not a true island, it's called a sea stack.

  • fake or real???

  • It's Gilligan's Island! I knew it would come back!

  • Wowww that vid was like totally amazing dude. like whoa. i have a whole new perspective on life. forget that we worship money and dont realize it. this is what life is about. the vid rocks

  • @ebonydashit83 You are so right!!! compliments for your comment. I have visited a few islands in the south pacific and i was stunned by their beauty and their pace of life. it changed the perspective of life in me too...in this case, it is being the withness of something amazing.the creation of nature......but the whole area is so pristine, isolated and beautiful, very few people live in this area of the world, you feel like you are in another planet....

  • sorry i crapped...there whas no toilet and the one on my boat whas dead.....

  • This is a coral "bloom". It's how coral gets it on. Once a year or something, all coral, everywhere spits its respective reproductive goo into the big blue, thus fertilizing these flaoting "eggs" that drift around till they find something to attach to. It's not volcanic, or anything, this is just nature getting its funk on. Yes, pumice floats, but it isn't colorful, or round like that. I've seen this growing up in Hawaii, many times.

  • Don't mean to be mean dayotobiusa, but volcano doesn't have a "u" in it.

  • Totally awesome! Must've been wonderful to be there -- video camera or not...

  • Its called Pumice people.

  • its chuck norris makein pancakes and waffles mmmmm nice tasty waffles :F

  • thats amazing but next time catch that on video

  • Could be Chuck Norris fighting Poseidon

  • @freebutterfly17 I don't know about that but when Chuck Norris threw that last roundhouse kick he changed the polar field and now we are all screwed. Yeah you heard me, Chuck Norris caused the polar shift.

  • Fred Kenyon is laughing in his grave.

  • vulcanic eruptions happen. Some vulcano must have erupted under the sea and (for some reason) the (cooled, now solid) lava floated.

  • Whale farts......

  • @rhn94 I wonder if he knows Photoshop is only for picture editing...

  • Music Fail.

  • GTFO!

    photoshop! :-p

  • @HumanityWins not photoshop .. this things do happen ..

  • Thank you.

  • Well I'll be back, I need to get my flag!

  • You lucky bastages !! Awesome

  • lol, nice

  • its so relaxing

  • wow! that cool!!

but i would have checked out if I could stand up in the sea sand

  • a vulcano do not form land as fast as this video suggest

  • has anyone bought this Island???

  • @teshjusttesh bought it of who?? LOL !!

  • @teshjusttesh posiedon??

  • WOW!!! Pumice....it's a miracle.

  • wow what luck

  • Must be OIL mixed with sand ....Or some kind of pollution caused by monkey men.

  • i would have ACTUALLY sh!t mself it i was floating along then came across that!!!

  • way cool...

  • Wonderful.

  • thats "the island" where jack, sawyer, hurley, kate, sayid, jin, sun, other losties crash :p...

  • @nahu182 hahaha dry

  • And then the boat sank.

  • -Very- cool. I am full of envy.

  • A very cool video! I love the study of nature and such. Great video.

  • Couldn't u name the island as u discovered it ;)

  • i believe it. there are way more volcanoes under the ocean than on land.

  • what are the coords?

  • screw u my island

  • really nice to see an island form you guys r lucky

  • obviously fake, at 0:22 you can clearly see that there is a split

  • @guitarruler1453 that was the trail left by the yacht

  • Creation! Very cool. Nice to be a part of it , Yes?

  • music was gay

  • awesome video man!

  • That's pretty damn cool..nice vid :)

  • Over how long of a period were you watching this occur? Truly amazing!!!

  • I'm almost positive it wasn't sand floating on the water but it was volcanic ash...

  • Wow

  • Comment removed

  • I hope it doesn't flip over like Guam did.

  • I would of named the island after myself haha

  • thats hella cool, your basically seeing the formation of islands

  • maybe its a chance that they didn't boiled with yacht there.

  • i cant really explain the first one but the steam might be opened surfaces with magma or a hotspot...

  • so this is where it goes if you flush twice

  • is it possible for a such a geological event like tis to occur in a such a short duration of time..im not sure!a

  • from this day forward i ALN7D declare this island to be mine and anyone who does not wish to acknowledge this fact may take your finest horse and meet me at the summit of the afore mentioned island at sunrise where we shall duel..........

  • pumice is pourous therefore making it more bouyant than the much denser water surrounding it

  • You should have put your own flag on it and started your own country.

  • it's pumice- caused when volcanoes erupt and small amounts of rock aerate and, basically, go bubbly and float.

  • If you notice in the last few frames..the "sand" that was floating on the surface was gone..fake

  • You guys better have stuck your flag in that ground and claimed it for yourselves!

  • could be pumice stones, theyre igneous and they float!!!

  • it might be democrats they are pretty ignoras and they float. L.O.L.

  • @datzfast does anyone know what an igneous rock is? if you dont believe me, look it up! rocks float!

  • in sure it would say rock of volcanic origin with gas bubble inclusions LOL

  • @datzfast DAMN CANT ANYONE TELL THAT THIS WAS A BOEING BOMB GONE BAD I MEAN IT MUST HAVE BEEN A BOEING 777 THAT DROPED THAT AMOUNT OF SHIT OUT OF ITS JET LMFAO

  • @omnise anything less dense than water floats, if you had a really big container of water Saturn would float in it :).

  • @EliteC56 im aware of that. some people lack the brain power to consider a rock can float. "rocks float?!? WTF no way!!! you're retarded!!!" is probably a common reaction from anyone who failed earth science in high school. no, i dont mean you elite, but i thought it was worth mentioning for the sake of encouraging the development of common sense in those who lack it while posting their comments.

  • some how its mans polution and related to global warming. now who do we get to pay the tax

  • And it's Bush's fault!

  • Hmm. That stuff looks just like kava. Could it be that it was just a drug run that went wrong?

  • Claim it!

  • amazing!

  • could it be........... the smoke monster???

  • @Shizzmonger Shit man, how did you know?! :P

  • Make your own country! ha ha

  • that...is...AWESOME

  • that island is MINE!

    thats MY island!

    kiddn

  • awmg a teacher from my school was on that yacht no joke

  • quit yo lieng....really?

  • @zeek1227 i swear to you im telling the truth, if i was lying then that is a pretty dumbass lie cus no1 wants to hear about school on youtube lol

  • Maybe it is a fucking nuclear test underneath the

    water.....

  • satan is comeing and god is taking his followers

  • dude u dont kno nothing of god and satan..ur BS

  • volcanos rule

  • Don't let Al Gore see this !!!

  • Man-bear-pig!!!!

  • that was crazy and cool.

  • I Assume it was not a boring experience!

  • Beautiful!

  • Thats something you dont see everyday,I heard my stepgrandfather talk of his buddy, a merchant marine seeing the same thing many, many years ago

  • awesome- they took nice pics

  • wow

  • Vermiclite.

  • Pumice. is white or gray its perlite. this is vermiculite

  • is this true..

  • this is real,it happens all the time

its how most land masses or tropical islands are made.

  • Can someone supply grid refrences so it can be seen from above?

  • look like sawdust from a floating furniture plant

  • yea the birth of new a new land mass.

  • Did this really happen?

  • why does 0:21 look so fake...

  • @RcUniverseGuy i totaly agree, its a perfect seam, and the 'trail' left by the yacht is like 2 feet wide

  • many many died in that volcanic eruption ....

  • What an awesome day you had. Thanks for sharing

  • How beautiful...

U guys are so lucky. I wish i could see something like that... (:

  • A friend of my mother was the original

    person who took these photos.

  • bro this is wat they sent to me on my e-mail and it says the same thing that it says on the video and the same pictures

  • Beautiful

  • What was the lat/long of this event?

  • unfortunately since underwater volcanoes aren't potent enough, this little island was definitely washed away due to erosion from the salt water/waves

  • I wonder if any birds try to land on that lol

  • what are the coordinates???

  • Witnessing the birth of a new island...

    Wow!! O_O

    Lucky you!

  • great video.

  • The stone / sand which is floating is "Pummis stone"(sp) i think.

  • i was one time in the place like that, i was in frnce

  • the place from FF XII

  • a Cargo ship has hit that {already formed many millions of years ago) "island" and shed its load of grain or whatever and the clouds of rising black smoke Are from that ship which is sinking and on fire

  • or maybe you are an idiot and its a small vulcano erupting....

  • That is often how islands are formed. Like Hawaii for example. ;)

  • a friend of mine in New Caledonia wants to know where this occurred. Anyone know?

  • That is so cool, of all the things you can witness.
