i would hate to be the one waiting at that crossing gate. first to wait for the first train to pass to find out 4 minutes later another train is coming as well
omg dude i just loooove this route! route 10 is on and around staples, st. cloud, motley, randall, clear lake, aldrich, wadena, bluffton, perham, frazee, detroit lakes, lake park, and gregory. well i hope this was helpful!
I like the action but not to fond of broadside shots that close up. hard to read the sides of the cars that way as it steaks by too fast. also i liked the second shot until you panned it. it's tempting to always pan, i do it too. but sometimes it's better not to pan.
Nice!! No flashing ditchlights on both those BNSF trains. But it is your normal MAC and GEVO power.
Nice on that CSX SD40-2 in the lead with the flahing ditchlights of that 3rd train with the TFM trailing. Coal trains here in Charlotte are mostly with NS engines and they all have DC traction motors. Wish they cut back and use AC power units like those BNSF units and some UP.
No hurry needed. It made it through just fine. I think it looks like it was hurrying because once the gates came down the car seemed to move further from the gates.
the horn on the third train is AWFUL!!!!!

Nothing fancy. I use a Canon S3 (camera), a tripod, an Apple iMac and a radio scanner.

did that car at the beginning have to hurry through the crossing, or was it good?

Ok...I love the red light through the dark :)...That CSX horn sounded different from what I've heard before
