What is considered a monster yp up there? I guess anything 14" and above? Just wondering because down here in Tennessee on my local lake we can load the boat up with yellow perch during Winter. It's ridiculous. Very common to catch a 14-15" perch and a 16" here and there. Is that pretty normal up there in the perch capital?

My 2 biggest this year are 16" a peice. Both went 2lbs even on certified scales. State record is 2-2. Maybe this Winter we'll break that. Thanks for letting me know, I was just wondering if my local lake was anything special with the yellow perch in it. I guess it kind of is lol

For bigger perch, i recomend a fair size spoon, nothing TOO big but fairly big, it temps the larger perch, they work briliantly here in UK i knew yellow perch are different from the pretty standered perch we have here, but i doubt they are less aggresive than ours, they look pretty much the same!
