7. ECCA provides lots of opportunity for economic development. Viking Air, and aircraft manufacturer wanted to move to ECCA. EIA was available but was not an option for them. They city turned them away, now they reside in Calgary, a 10 minute drive from downtown. Last time I checked sending business packing was anti-business and that is what closing this airport is.

I expect my senators to understand issues, you clearly do not understand this issue.

5. One plane crash doesn't make sense yet thousands of death from car accidents do? Over 10 million flights have landed at ECCA safely. The accident did not injury anyone on the ground. Toronto has airplanes flying into the city core. Many smaller cities do as well.

6. Many cities voluntarily impose height restrictions on themselves. This does not impede their growth. Plus Edmonton can change their height restrictions and still have the airport functioning with both runways.

First off to be Alberta's main air terminal Edmonton would have to be an economic leader. We are not.

2: Montreal allows jet landings at other airports other the Pierre. Mirebel was closed because it was to far away and no one wanted to drive that far.

3. Having your business shut down is not an inconvenience, it is a life ruining moment.

4. He says expenses will be above the value of the property. ie Edmonton stands to lose 100-500 million on this deal
