Tram Car Ride on the Boardwalk in Wildwood, NJ 8/08

You can either have the tram car or you can have hoodlums pushing chairs as on the Atlantic City boardwalk shouting XXX-rated comments on young women as they pass. Outside the Taj one day I was astonished and sickened at what these guys were shouting at female tourists while waiting to pick up rides. "Watch the tram car please" at least is a phrase for the whole family.

Yes, I wanted to go back to Wildwood this year for the first time in 13 years to see the new haunted stuff, etc. and my mom said she can't walk the boardwalk because of her health problems, lungs, so I told her that she could ride the tram instead of walking to go from pier to pier. Or, we could drive from pier to pier. We might be going on July 5 since we'll be in Wilmington, DE area on July 4. I hope that we do go to Wildwood. A girl I know just went this week with a friend, lucky her.

i remember back when i was a kid they use to have a place where you could make old 80's style music videos they got rid of it due to copy right infringments, but was such a good time. wish i could find the vids for that.

ive been going to WW my whole life and never once rode the damn tram car. It's called a boardwalk for a reason.

They need to change "Watch the tramcar please" to "Watch the lazy asses please"

@nicknitro6969 Wow! Not everyone that rides the tram car is lazy. That boardwalk is 2 miles long and some people just cannot walk that far for various reasons. Wait until you get old or older and get a bad knee or medical condition that prevents you from walking that whole boardwalk.

@nicknitro6969 ---Exactly what PaOsfan said----my mom, for example, has COPD and cannot walk very much or she gets extremely short-of-breath. Also, many young children get TIRED after being in the sun all day and all hyped-up from the experiences. The trams play an important role on the boardwalk.

Know what I like about this? I haven't been there in years and this brings back so many fond memories! Thank you for posting this! Now all I need are the wonderful frangrences of cotton candy, pop corn, pizza, frenchfries, hamburgers, etc! Oh, and the taste of that salt air on my lips.

i love that place, my family has a beach houseright across the draw bridge, and we only live an hour away, so we can go pretty much when ever we want, its a great place!
