  • This 1 touchd me cus I had a dog that lookd like Ace when this came out. Always reminds me of him!

  • it must be a different day when the kids finally get their dog back. they are wearing different clothing. great clip. i am 38 and remember this one back when i watch ss when i was a child.

  • thank god for microsoft word!!!

  • I remember this! They showed it in the 80's and early '90's as well.

Very nice job! Keep up the great work! Thanks for posting! A++++++++

Have a great day, a great night, a great week, a great weekend, a great month, a great winter, a Happy New Year and a Happy New Decade! All the best in 2010 and beyond! Puerto Rican Love from New York City!

  • is ur name ace? lol cute dog

  • Another reason that came to my mind about why they never showed the woman bringing the dog to the kids. Maybe they did show the woman bringing the dog to them but, maybe the directors and producers here accidently cut her out of the scene when the kids saw their dog either in their backyard or, in the basketball/tennis court. (Plus, maybe they should have at least showed the woman to show that she was calling the kids on the telephone if they weren't going to show her bringing the dog).

  • It would be pointless to show this on sesame street today with how we have digital picture printing and Xerox machines

  • That's true how the dog just runs up to them. Even though they never showed it, maybe the woman brought the dog to the house and found the kids in the backyard so she let the dog run into the backyard so the kids would get a surprise and feel happy to see their dog. Or, maybe she called the kids and the kids told her to bring the dog and meet them at a basketball/tennis court (the kids look they they're in a basketball/tennis court). Whichever reason it was, they should've showed the woman.

  • This clip used to make me feel emotional when I was 7 years old. LOL

  • Me too. Someone must have made it possible for Ace to escape from out of a back yard or something.

  • Thank you. This music's been stuck in my head for decades.

  • Stupid Ace.

  • For those who think the guy in the printer's shop looks like Dan Aykroyd, I submit that the woman who has Ace looks like Karen Allen. What do you all think?

  • LMAO i remember this too

  • I wonder why they never showed the woman who had Ace and was reading the "Lost Dog" sign calling and returning him back to the two kids. All it looked like that the woman let Ace run away in the street, and the two kids were walking in the street and found him running in the street.

  • Oh, does anybody got the one with a girl who meets a blind lady and pets her dog ?

  • ''Ace'' is a Black Russian Terrier. Don't get me wrong wattamack 4.

  • He looks like a poodle who hasn't gotten a haircut or bathed in months!

  • I remember this clip when I was around like 9 years old. The guy doing the block letters looks a little bit like Dan Aykroyd.

  • Yes that's right. He does look like Dan Aykroyd.

  • I remember crying when I saw this when I was younger.

...I'm actually geting a bit teary eyed watching it now as well.

  • I remeber that one

  • According to the sign, please call 000-1234 if you see Ace.

  • OMG! Thank you, thank you! I love this one.

  • Sad one, especially if you have lost a dog or cat and haven't had luck with "Lost Dog" signs.

  • Thanks! I've been waiting for this one!

  • its a very cute segement and its neat how they print signs the old fashioned way, nowadays it would be computer graphics.

  • There is a "sequel" to this one that involved a computer, but the same basic premise. Anyways, I remember the music for this. And the ending was nice.
