this is too adorable to watch...even though i know it was a difficult time for them, i know they are bound together after all this time. it was, sadly, probably wise of them to go their separate ways and to reconnect periodically, though we lost what they could have had as a team.
but oh, what i wouldn't do to meet artie! too bad we're both married - i *know* i'd fall in love as much as i did in our youth. artie, you're gorgeous with the voice of an angel! much <3 to you, kim and the kids!
I used to be a huge fan of them,until I found out the only instument they played themselves was the guitar.Still,wow!They had amazing voices!Art probably has one of the most beautiful voices I've ever heard.:DI love this song.
Art is such a sweetie :) his smile makes me smile and his voice calms me. Arty is the most unique person I've ever known about... if i could meet one person, it would be Arty hands down...
@meganmckenzie11 Wow, my sentiments exactly. You can tell a lot about Art by his demeanor. He is a gentle soul, and an "old soul". He has seen a lot in his life and seems to have remained the same sweet person. I would love to meet Art, as well. I don't think he could have a bigger fan than me!
Great to see brother Eddie Simon totally getting into it at the end (after yawning at the beginning). Haven't seen this in over 40 years. Thanks for posting!
The guy yawning is Paul's little brother, Eddie. A guitarist and radio station owner, he has on occasion had a behind-the-scenes role in his brother's career. Once a member of a band called Guild Light Cage, Eddie Simon became better known as a teacher at the Guitar Study Center, now part of the New School in Manhattan.
The guy playing piano on this track is session musician Larry Knechtel. He's played keyboards and bass on hundreds of LA recording sessions as well as being a member of the group Bread.
WOW!!!!!..who found this....this is a timeless piece of treasure...who actually gets to see one of the original practice recordings....hello iamrock65 u need to hold on to this!!!
haha. isnt it paul's twin brother - dancing at the back. the duo were already popular and rich by 69' and their maestro/director was still strict and stiff. oh, well, S&G were perfectionist themselves. i love them. thank you for sharing this rare clip. priceless! :)
Thank you so much for sharing this with S&G fans. To me, Art is truly stunning when Paul becomes the harmonic encouragement in this song. This song always reminds me of what true friends are for.
Couldn't believe they were really intense even for the rehearsal. Talented duo of timeless voice!
the first glimpse of Paul is actually his brother yawning...

OMG - I've loved Artie for the last 40 years. When I saw him sing "Bridge" in Nice, I swooned. He noticed me. ARTIE NOTICED ME :)))

Yup, must be auto tune ( just making fun of those who think a good singer must be auto tuned)

@anhakin It's disturbing. He's like a smaller, ape-like version of Paul.
But back to Art: oh my - one of the most beautiful voices ever, he just puts me in a trance.
