But to be frank, the whole Rift valley can be marked as possible craddle, and that valley stretches way beyond anything mentioned in the bible.
As for the location of 'Gihon', afaik that river has not yet been positively identified, some suggest the Gihon is the Nile (Josephus for example).
The nile is named "ye'or" elsewhere.... i don't know :)

Even though the connection to Gihon river in the bible, and the Gihon river in present day is uncertainly identified, many of the researcher, and even professors that I have read about and spoke to believe that it's a stronger theory than the correlation found between the Nile and the biblical river.

Well, we are all descended from a small group of Africans, but that group grew larger and certain adaptations that we acquired through time and place are not African at all (although are brains are probably mostly adapted to the savannah), so I used to think of us all as Africans, but then I could easily just go steps and steps further to the first animal cell.you know what I mean ? Light hair, light skin are not african adaptations.
