I was at the CDB Volunteer jam 13 and it was an incredible feeling to experience that Skynyrd reunion Sept 6, 1987 . We then went to Birmingham on 0ct 20, 1987 for the tribute show on the night exactly 10 years after the crash. The brought out everyone who was on the plane that suvived as well as Ronnie's daddy being there too. It was phenominal
Recorded during the Tribute Tour rehearsals in Nashville, TN on 9/3/87.The band was particularly rehearsing for their Volunteer Jam performance three days later. This isn't the complete song, but most of it is here.
when I showed my daughter years ago the video of Skynryd in London...she drew pictures of Allen jumping in his red suit...she doesn't remember it now...but I still have the drawing...it's a stick figure of Allen doing the "jump split"...her mother (my fiance at the time) at least saw Rossington-Collins..at Lehigh and there was a water main break and everyone had to pee outside...that's another story..amazing she married me after that!
