  • Love love love!!!! Watched it thousands of times!

  • Lovve it :3

  • The best part about this couple is that on America's actual wikipedia page, it says that we have a "special" relationship with Britain. Hmm.....................................XD XD

  • OMG This was too perfect XD

  • I think they included "And the pursuit of happiness" to signal to Iggy that Alfred still wanted to be with him, even though after this he'd be pissed. And that he'd pursue their happiness together forever.

    US UK

  • Haha my day is made

  • Ummmmmmm

  • But now that I know hetalia this song has just gotten better!

  • I remember one day my 5th grade teacher showing us the music video of this song and whenever I got stuck with something like American history, I think of that song.

  • Omg, I was so close to crying. This si so good...but so sad.

...Hey, this was posted on my birthday! :D

  • OMG WHERE DO YOU GET ALL THOSE PICTURES~?! I'm deeply in love with this mv.

  • as soon as i can get youtube to work at school, i'm going to play this in history! even if we just finished the revolutionary war (which i wasnt a usuk lover at the time but now i cry and feel I wasted a good amount of school to not cry because of it)

  • I think these two make the most beautiful gay couple in any anime/manga. I actually cry over the American War of Independence.

    US/UK <3

  • That was really good.

  • Whats with Bumblebee at 0:43?

  • It's amazing how the artist changed the lyrics to do this version for July 4th. Love this version, even if I'm Canadian.

  • If I get enough thumbs up, I'll sing this in History for extra credit. :D

  • where did u get the pics? i love them!

  • thanks! i love this song and USUK is a great paring! thank you 4 making/posting and keep it up!

  • Um...OK seriously, while reading the comments youtube freaking changes on me!

  • Now I an sad :( LET'S WATCH IT AGAIN. Still so sad

  • This makes me sad every time... Yet I keep watching... I cosplay britain and my cousin cosplays america... those aren't helping.

    Your video is amazing

  • My social studies teacher showed my class this and right away I thought the same thing, I made my own video as well. Yours is amazing

  • I'm going to have to tell my Civics teacher about this song

  • anyone know where the pic at 1:58 is from? i see it in so many amvs but i could never find it

  • @friedchicken911 It's in DeviantART

  • 2,9,11 photo links! Please! Cuz they are amazing!!!

  • NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

i cried why would you make me feel so much OTL

  • This video is shounen-ai. Yaoi is not 18+ or pornographic (unless it's Hentai, which is different), it is simply more sexual than shounen-ai. You would find kissing in yaoi, where you would not in shounen-ai. See the difference?

  • My teacher said if I wanted an A+ power point I'd need to add a song, or add my voice in. I plan on using this.. lol is it alright?

  • Hugging between men is not yaoi. Hugging between a man and justin bieber is.

Besides...yaoi anyway involves horny pictures of men...right? Unless someone makes a damn hetalia 2 girls 1 cup parody..

STOP CALLING HETALIA FUCKING YAOI! IT AINT!!!

  • ........kay.....is it wrong when I first heard this song in History, that my first thought was how sad for Britain?? cause I mean....there are 3 other students in that class that watch hetalia and they didnt even think about it T-T "............." lets not mention I understand both Britains and Americas view........

  • was i the only one who shedded a few tears? this is an amazing video!!!

  • How that yaoi conversation would have went.

America: Ewwwww. How could they even think of something like that!!!!

Britain: I know! I cant even stand being in the same room with you hamburger smelling Americans, let alone being in love with you!

Ameica: Same here Frenchy...............wonna make out?

Britain:Why yes that would tickle my fancy!!

  • What show are you guys talkin about?

  • I cried when I found this

  • don't squeal, don't squeal, *dies from holding squeal in*

  • NO TEA?!?! XD

  • @animafan24 *dies without tea* xD

  • i <3 Hetalia

  • Awesome Hetalia reference :D

  • this video was linked to a video that my history teacher showed us in class XD

  • Was this song made for Hetalia...??? Amazing job btw

  • Thought this was the original song until I heard the 'We colonized America'.

Me: WTF?!? *restarts video and actually listens to lyrics*

  • when they played this song at school, I was crying thinking of this video and everyone looked at me funny T_T

  • @mafermofon I DID TO!..i swear the entire week we spent on the revolutionary war was the worst week of my life!..i got so emotional all the time and REALLY wanted to cry..i feel bad for my teacher..having to put up with all my fan-girl moments

  • @TaffyMadly ikr! and it sucks cause no one understands why!

  • first phrase i understood- WE COLONIZED AMERICA

    Me: WHAT?!

My mom: They totally changed the lyrics for this song, not cool.

Me: WHO SINGS THIS?! I GOTTA KNOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

  • I heard of the song concept and immediately thought

"THE RAIN SCENE IN HETALIA. OMGGGGG FANGIRL MOMENT."

...I ended up losing track of what the teacher was saying after that.

  • @XariaxAiri I've been like that (but still paying attention) since we started the pre-revolution unit five weeks ago and we are currently in the revolution....I've been non stop talking about hetalia since XD

  • @XariaxAiri fail lol

  • @XariaxAiri What episode was that?

  • First thought when I watched this in school.

    USUK.

  • This is amazing. The song choice is absolutely perfect! Where did you even find that song lol? You did wonderfully with it! Such a lovely idea :)

  • I can't believe how people can make drawings as amazing as some of these... They're incredibly talented and most people don't even realize, cudos to manga artists ^.~

  • All the people like "you guys don't understand how many men died to give you your rights!" kinda make me laugh...

  • Oh the smart people comments XXDDD lol amazing vid

  • @USAdude30 Trust me, I know. I've had ancestor's before fight in wars dating all the way back to the Revolutionary War. I love history with my whole heart, along with my love for the U.S.. I want to mae a difference in this country, to help it back on it's feet. I think that's how alot of people in my generation feel. And we ARE gonna make a difference. I know it.

  • 1:31,1:36,1:39 (the one labeled Injured Hero) and 1:50 where did you get them? I cant find them anywhere

  • Where did you get the second to last picture?!

  • ...even though I don't get to do U.S. history next year *growls*....I think MOD will be alright (Modern European History)....God I love history!

  • @hinatagirl282008 im in 11th grade this year and im taking American History

...i was really excited at first because America is my favorite (next to Mr. Austria)

but once we started going over the revolutionary war i couldn't stop having sad fan-girl moments in the middle of class

... every time i'd say "stupid iggy...why'd you have to be such an overprotective control freak..WHY!"...everyone one would look at me weird o.o

  • @TaffyMadly

I know, right? course, it's not good bursting out in laughter when the teacher talks about Germany marching over Europe and capturing countries...and with my dirty mind it's even worse...and then I have to explain why I'm laughing...class never gets any easier.

  • Last year, we watched "Too Late to Apologize: A Declaration " in class and this was a suggestion on the side. I couldn't help but giggle a bit. c: D'aaaawww USUK, y u so angsty?

  • I-I almost cried. I love AmericaxPhilippinesxEngland though :/

But SERIOUSLY. This is emotional and good.

  • Seriously, that made me cry...

    I love this pairing...

  • I almost cries during that. That parody is just made for them...TT^TT

  • Omg, this is such an awesome song

  • I clicked on nad relized half wasy through the click and i started to tear up even before the video started!!

  • Damn it! I'm crying...I hate you...no I love you but I hate you for making me cry because this song is just SO DAMN TRUE!

  • I'm going to be a History teacher for a day so i can show kids this video! You can learn so much from this. ITS AWSOME! and sad.....very sad...

  • CAN YOU PLEASE SEND ME THE LINK OF WHERE YOU GOT YOUR PICTURES? I WANT TO DO A REVOLUTIONARY WAR THING BETWEEN USxUK USING THE SONG PAIN BY: THREE DAYS GRACE....please~

  • Comment removed

  • Can you send me the link for where you got those pictures?!?!?!~ Thank you! <3

  • ...why is the lyrics DIFFERENT

  • @FlyingMintBunnyNomz They're different because this is the Soomo Publishing version 030

  • YESS! I was waiting for someone to Hetalia this song.

This is a pretty good video, tho I kind of wish that there had been some pics of the Founders, but that's cool, I know they're not as common.

  • Hey, I was wondering where you got the pic of America and England upside down and it says Gravity... BTW, I love the vid. It's awesome. ^o^.

  • @OutOfBoredom

I wish I had your history teacher. Although I don't think I would have the same amount of self comtrol not to laugh thru the entire thing!!! XD

  • I could not even get through hl

    Alf the video man

  • @Manaphypalka it's from a series called hetalia and out of the entire anime, thus was by far the saddest and most serious episode. Oh god this video made me cry ;( but it was so good!! -:3

  • where did you get the pictures?

if it was from some anime, what is the name

  • FINALLY! I was waiting for someone to see the connection between Hetalia and this awesome song! :D

  • the saddest part - NO TEA!!! ;_;

  • Brilliant!

  • o3o imma show my history teacher this vid and maybe i could get him into hetalia |D that'd be AWESOME :D (i already somewhat got him interested with the animation i did for the revolutionary war now he wants me to do another for wwi XD)

  • Where did you find that picture at 2:02?

  • Did anyone else cry?

  • Comment removed

  • When the lyrics to the pursuit of happiness, I bawled.x-x

  • I wish in England we learned about the American Revolution because then we not only learn something that totally changed in British AND American History but it will help us understand each other more, we joke that American's are not as smart as we are but in fact American School Children have higher grades then the British and i'm sure American's make joke about us british we all do it. It's human nature but if can learn to get along just like Hetalia then there would be peace one step at a time

  • Comment removed

  • @YamiJaden001 Wow...I had heard once that schools in the UK skipped teaching about the revolutionary war and I assumed it was a joke since it is a part of the countries history. I agree that learning that would help UK citizens understand us a bit a better.

This may surprise you but people in the US generally don't make fun of other countries/nationalities in real life conversations, we usually poke fun at our own government and fellow citizens.

  • @oAoKvsC Yeah! That did suprise me! I would of thought that you would make fun of us because America and England are like brother contries so are the citizens. Even so, thank you for your relpy I learned something new today even if it isn't useful XD And we do the same, but we mostly complain at out current goverment they are doing a really bad job and trying to get money back quickly and making everyone suffer then just wait it out with little cuts

Please do ignore my ranting! XD Again thanks!

  • @YamiJaden001 Haha, rant to your hearts content it's healthier than keeping it in! I'm glad that you describe the US-UK as being a brotherly one! Americans still put up a distance towards the UK, the country is regarded as more of a shy/cautious cousin here. We only consider Canada as a brother but hopefully one day that sentiment will be held across the pond as well! ^.^

  • @oAoKvsC I think that personaly most English people who have seen Hetalia and seen that sketch of the Indepence war will consider America more as a brother then just 'some contry that is seperate from us now' (Not that I have ever thought that way but my friends have) But do you think that American likes to put a distance on us... because of what happened in the past? Becuase I know a friend which is partly German who usealy like to keep a distance because of that, Because of WW II. Shame really

  • @YamiJaden001 Lol, I think most hetalia fans would describe the US and UK as brothers because of that sketch! The two countries make adorable siblings. As to why there is a distance between our two countries...well that's rather puzzling, it has very little to do with our past conflicts; Americans embrace the idea of 'the past is the past' what I think is the most likely culprit for this is our media. I'm sad to say this but England/UK doesn't get mentioned a lot over here unless the POTUS is

  • @oAoKvsC (annoying limit) - visiting over there...or if something extremely bad/stupid/amazing happens there. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't it pretty safe to say that the English feel a divide towards us due in part towards a lot of negative media attention we receive there? I read a girls comment on some forum and she said something along the lines of 'I was disappointed when I visited NYC and found the streets weren't littered with homeless people living in boxes.' I think this is telling.

  • @oAoKvsC I may be over thinking what you said about your friend, does she/he hide her German heritage? Or did you mean something else? If its her heritage she should be celebrating it! A friend of mine found out that she had German in her family and was giddy for a good week in a half! It's a shame that there should be ill feelings towards people due to their countries past mistakes.

  • @oAoKvsC Um, we don't do the Revolution because (no offense meant) it's not a very important part of our history. Normally we concentrate on Elizabeth I, Cromwell (the guy in charge when we got rid of our king that one time), Wars of the Roses, Romans, First and Second World Wars etc. And the many, many wars with France. All the stuff that shaped our country. England has a lot of history, so we can only concentrate on the main bits.

  • @RustedHatter I'm sorry but I hold your comment in the same regards as I do when a fellow American says "Why should I bother with world geography when we have like 50 states to memorize that are like mini-countries." To pick and choose which parts of your countries history you'll learn is simply sad and for professors to embrace that teaching style is alarming as it breeds ignorance. Though I will admit teachers here spend too much time on it and should focus more on world history.

  • @oAoKvsC I'm not saying we shouldn't learn other's history. Currently I'm learning about the Golden Age of Spain and it's very interesting. I'm just saying we can't learn all history. School is unfortunately limited timewise, and sometimes we do need to learn our own country's history to try and not repeat the same mistakes of the past. D: Sorry if that didn't come out clearly.

(Personally, I want to learn about Russia, but that's not an option. So not fair)

  • @RustedHatter Haha, my bad I probably read it wrong. Indeed I wish history courses were more inclusive, especially in the states...we barely mentioned Russia when studying WWII =_=; 90% of the history I was taught was American and the rest was world history, the school system here is depressingly biased.

  • @oAoKvsC

Actually, the school system teaches the way they do because not enough American's even know AMERICAN history.

  • @wtiger9346 Interesting, do you have stats to give with that statement? I'd really like to read them if you do.

Not knowing our own history would be depressing since from my experience we learn about it from first grade to tenth grade with a year of world history in ninth grade.

@Nebel64 one of my comments was meant for you but I accidentally sent it to Hatter, my bad.

  • @oAoKvsC Tell me about it! All we got for Russia was 'The communists were on the Nazis' side then they were on ours. Anyway-" Class: 'Wait, what? Explain. Explain!' I swear we had a million classes on the Blitz, which, though it was important to us, you could only learn so much about before it got repetitive. (They bombed us. And then...they bombed us. And then they bombed us again! There will be a test on this at the end of the class).

  • @RustedHatter Lol! That sounds like our history courses! Except we don't go in depth on the blitz....really we focused on the causes for the war, strategies implemented, impact on citizens and the reasons we didn't get involved etc.

  • @RustedHatter Didn't learn about British 'area bombing' of German cities, only the Blitz? Sounds like an American history course..

  • @Nebel64 Ah, my remark was more joking than anything else. Of course we learnt other facts too, like the attacks on Dresden etc. Sorry for the confusion.

  • @RustedHatter It seems pretty important to me; we became the mightiest nation in world history and saved you from the tyranny that was promised us..

  • @Nebel64 We learn about America during the Second World War, which is when you created the Atom Bomb and became a world power, so that kind of covers it, yes? Interesting, every world power can be considered 'the mightiest nation in world history' until the next one comes along. For example, now that America is declining power-wise, it'll be either China or Russia as the new world power.

  • @RustedHatter I see, yes that covers it. I feel it's important to know how every country started as it inevitably becomes part of its over all character. As to the next world power I doubt it'll be China, too many of its people are still impoverished, the only people living the good life there is government officials, people in the tourist area are living semi-good lives and they are a minority, to see the real China people have to leave Hong Kong. Japan is an overall better candidate.

  • @RustedHatter We did invent the Atomic Bomb, as well as landed on the moon, it is true...

We are doing what we can to return the nation back to its founding principles, before it is too late.

  • OMG I hate learning about this it's so sad like the other day we were studying the last battle and I just stared bawling and screaming " NOZE ALFRED DON'T DO THIS CAN'T YOU SEE IGGY LOVES YOU" every one just looked at me like o.e and my teacher was like just looked at me and said "what the hell are you smoking"

  • Revolutionary war is annoying.... we had to include it in our lessons and i sort of teared up in there and everyone was like "WTF" so by lunch i just shouted in class "ALFRED AND ARTHUR WHY WHY WHHYY?!" good thing i'm not the only one who agrees in the class though

  • Wow I luv this it looks like it could be a show

An also my teacher showed me this too the schools r passing this around school to school I like this lots

  • Who rewrote this? They did an amazing job!

  • @OutOfBordeom: Holy crap your teacher is BEAST. She showed that with its hints of gayness and all? Whoa. Give your teacher my props.

Oh, and also, thanks so much (wtiger) for making this video! I was hoping someone would make an America vid to this song ever since I heard it. (:

  • I love it :'D

    <3

  • Brb Crying TTATT

  • This is excellent, dearie. I was hoping to find one[vid] with that version, as opposed to the OK-but-not-as-relevant Timberland vid. I love the use of pictures with the song here. Glad to see it.

  • revolutionary war.... USxUKs first fight and yet they're still holding strong lol

  • My social studies teacher in world history wacked me with his China flag when I wore my Japan Cosplay for Halloween and he was in his China Cosplay. (He's 27, so no pedofile here lol.) But some people took pics of us with our flags. XD He is mah FAVORITE teacher. :p My two other friends were England and America. Luckily the two are an actual couple because they were kissing and hugging. So kawaii desu! Love the vid!

    -Kiku

  • @TheFurryCandy

    I LOVE YOUR TEACHER TOO.

  • OMG I LUV THIS!! IOt's so cute!! the two people who disliked this was America and England...thimbs up if u agree

  • Do you mind if I make a USUK vid with this song as well? It's the perfect song and I'm itching to make a vid with it, but I don't want to steal the idea from you.

  • @MayReanna

    It's up to you.

  • @wtiger9346 Thank you ^_^

  • .......it kinda makes you think when u see the countries as people and you relate to them .....with their good and bad traits but if u think of it like that there is really no reason 2 fight is there because seeing it like this i dont see the reasons,,,,,,thats why i like hetalia so much

  • ANIME VERSION! my teacher showed us something like this but it was people not animed

  • WAIT NO THIS IS GAYYYY

  • @raid89100 oh not only is it gay......its also incest XD

  • @4funnylol dude come on this was already nasty enough but thean you had to add that someone should remove this video.

  • Weak.

  • My American History Teacher showed this EXACT video to us. It was hard to not laugh, I was the only one who got it. I had to explain it to her after class......... It was awesome.

  • @OutOfBoredum

    Like...this AMV? 8DDD

  • @wtiger9346 Yes, This exact same one....

  • @OutOfBoredum

...8DDD WELL TELL YOUR TEACHER I'M FLATTERED |D

And lol I wish my teacher would show us hetalia vids.

  • @OutOfBoredum Omg that's too funny. What did she say when you told that she was supposed to show the original vid and..uh...not this? XD

  • @OutOfBoredum That teacher probably turned the AR into some sort of a couple's bicker for some of the students. Obviously, that's how we want the younger generation to remember the AR: America threw a punch and then there was immense amounts of make up cuddling. I think, that is embarassing as a teacher. I hope he uses the original music video next time. >:(

  • @geeksquad250 (sorry for late reply)

She did show the original first, but then clicked on this one accidentally and we didn't even watch it all the way through but it's probably because I was laughing so hard.

  • @OutOfBoredum

    I LOVE YOUR TEACHER.

  • @OutOfBoredum OMG UR SOOOOOOOOOO LUCKY!! although if i saw this in class that would b bad seeing as i would be the only one crying cuz i actually understand it! lol

    AMAZING VID!!!!!!! <3

  • @OutOfBoredum

Your teacher showed you a video that has YAOI in it?

Excuse me, but I want your teacher. xD

  • @kawiiSakura what is yaoi.

  • @zombieman48 boy's love, boy-on-boy, etc.

  • @OutOfBoredum dude, i want to be your classmate because of her., lol

  • @OutOfBoredum

She showed you a usuk vid for History? Seriously?

Hah, i wont be suprised if our Science teacher used a France vid for learning sex education.

Then i'll be the one laughing :P

  • @OutOfBoredum Damn Dude! I was laughing up a storm in class with this video! i didnt get in trouble though!! lol

  • @OutOfBoredum OMG. that is SO cool! I wish my history teacher would do that! XD *fangirl squeal*

  • @OutOfBoredum Lmao. I want mine to play this too!

  • @OutOfBoredum haha!!!~ what did she say?~

  • @OutOfBoredum I want such a cool history teacher too..I doubt any of my teachers know hetalia (except my Japanese teacher..) And you laughed Q.Q This video is so sad..D=

  • @OutOfBoredum what did she do/say?

  • @OutOfBoredum

Are you serious? Lucky. I just got to see the original version for Government class. APUSH never let us do anything fun until the end of the year :(.

  • @OutOfBoredum Are you serious?! Thats pretty awesome

  • @OutOfBoredum

    How did she react?

  • @OutOfBoredum I wish my history teacher was that cool ^^

  • @OutOfBoredum Not that I don't like my teacher and all but, I REALLY want your teacher!! I don't think mine even knows the show exsists. I am currently on a mission on getting a chance to tell her about the show and how it's actually a bit educational!

  • @loverstale1 My mission is complete! I actually went a step further on accident and she wants to watch the show now XD!!

  • @PyroScorpionXX yeah it is woman. It is.

  • Revolutionary War = Saddest thing in the world to Hetalia fans

    T^T

  • @MayReanna Most definately!

  • @MayReanna Also one of the best parts for USXUK fangirls XD not to ruin the mood or anything...

  • @MayReanna For sure...

  • love the uk and the people

  • anyone else find it ironic that hetalia can make the revolutionary war seem like the most depressing thing ever... *sobs* poor Iggy-su!!!!! *sniffles* this was amazing. *sniff*

  • And I thought this song was epic BEFORE I saw this.

This... is the greatest thing I have ever seen.
