  • Well at least they keep it clean

  • OK.

  • Cool Stuff, All of that MoW stuff is UP's or is being paid for by UP. Sometime in the near utre, a increase in Traffic will hit out line.

  • Aah OK. Thanks for the info. You were completely right, "Luck of the dispatcher" the next video I post is exactly that. Thanks for the Joint Line info.

  • Cool shots, dude. I liked the row of UP locomotives, too. 5*, a favorite, and a channel post.

  • I've got pictures of those. Thanks! (New video coming soon!)

  • what does the rail grinder do?

  • It makes the rails smooth for trains so they don't go up and down like crazy.

  • @amtrak60 Not really. Rail-grinding generally removes a few thousandths so that fatigue cracks (which start there) don't propagate further, leading to rail failure and derailment. The surface contour is also restored to closer to ideal curve.

Ever higher axle loadings and speed beat on the rails. Besides, UPs traffic volume on their transcon is high.

  • Thanks for the correction, but you do know this video is over a year old right? And without comments for a year... Still, thanks for teaching me something.

  • i was about to ask if it was a union pacific or BNSF then i read the text box thing

  • OK. Always read the "Video Discription" I do.

  • yea i've been trying to but i forget
