@Draggis92 right, one reason for this is that youth people think that lady gaga, david guetta and bieber makes very good music cause the media tell them and from time to time chart music gets more worse..
Classical music always makes me feel like a small child again.
My grandfather used to play beethoven on long car-trips all the time, and i love this music.
In fact i am almsot 20 years old... but i don't really like the "newer" kind of music. I like the 80's but that almsot everything i like about 'modern' music' and classical stuff never gets old.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
I don't understand why people are still listening to such outdated pieces of music. Is it not natural for people to seek progress by embracing what is recent and updated instead of linger in the shadow of the past? Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber are up there for a reason - to provide us with modern-day music that are indicative of our superiority over the past. Am I not supported by the millions of people who pick Michael Jackson over classical music?
@creamie123 I believe that that is your opinion and we have to respect it... But it's kind of rude to come into a classical page or video and post this.. I am 20 years old and I love all kind of music, I believe each music as its purpose, time and place... But pleaseeee, don't compare the hard work of all the notes that are portrayed on a classical music, with the songs of Justin Bieber that are made in one day.. and this comes from a person that likes hip hop, techno and so on... Just saying.
i need an orchestra/ classical music expert to indentify a peice for me. it's a modivational peice used in a basketball tribute for a very good player. it's a rather nice peice and i would love to know the name of it.
Simply wonderful, my Dad RIP loved classical music, never thought I would like it..but adore it. Mozart..total genius. O Fortune also is brilliant, The Omen..scary music.
i never knew the name of that carl orf song or who composed it but holy cow that just realy is an amazing feeling it is like an introduction for a king i do think he should have ended it with a final note from all of the instruments and very abruptly
A song that I'd recommend is definately "Ride of the Valkyries" by Richard Wagner. A second one of my favorites is "Toccata and Fugue" (in D minor on the organ) by Bach. A third favorite is Vivaldi's seasons, a well known tune being Vivaldi's "Spring". And lastly, a fourth one I'd very much recommend is Prokofiev's "Peter and the Wolf" (classic!) -- Some less epic sounding music are Chopin's nocturnes and Mozart's Moonlight Sonata, : Also "Flight of the Bumblebee" is just plain awesome. :)

Hey everyone! I'm in search of people who like modern style classical music, and are looking for young composers! I just composed my very first concerto-symphony and I'm hoping there are some people who are willing to check it out. So far I have heard pretty good feedback, and I promise you I'm not like every other advertiser who Legitimately stinks when you go to there page, so please take a moment to check it out, and leave a comment! Thx!
I find this video a little offensive. At the very least you should change the title to something that doesn't include "best of". It's really your opinion on an aesthetic and a poor essentialist fallacy to say these pieces are the best of anything. Maybe ... "pretty songs that a lot of people like"... I could name off pieces you've never heard of that encapsulate the evanescence and beauty of life. I don't mean to seem harsh, but it's just not right.
@seth2514 Stop being completely ridiculous. The greatness of the "unheard" pieces which you speak of is completely your opinion as well. You speak as if your opinion is absolute. If you find this video "offensive" then you should grow up.
@lagnobob Ummmm, no? It's all a matter of opinion and perception. Who's to say Beethoven is any better than Britney Spears? I would hope common sense would intervene somewhere. Either way, I was just making a point. I'm not judging the music as much as their misuse. These pieces simply aren't an adequate representation of the western classical tradition. It's like being a serious lover of literature and claiming "Cat in the Hat" is your favorite book.
I think what youve put is rather the most famous classical music, not necessarily the best. By the way, in strict sense, only Mozart and Beethoven were classical. My suggestions for your next video are:
Symphony no.9 and/or 7-Beethoven
Symphony no.40 and/or 41-Mozart
symphony no.9- Dvořák
piano concerto no.2-Brahms
Requiem-Verdi
Mass in b minor and/or double violin concerto in d minor-J.S. Bach (it's not from the last 250 years, but it's really beautiful)
O Fortuna probably one of the most inspirational songs of all time!
