why did you use tile.. i dont think your dragon is indigenous to a bathroom. you shoulda used great stuff foam on top of the Styrofoam, it would have given a more rocky look, then put that mortar or w.e it is on top of the GS foam.
yes i used tile because im one of the people who dont like to use particle substrate for the fear of impaction and them just being plain unsanitarty...the tile holds heat well is easy to clean and my dragon doesnt mind it at all...but as far as the suggestions on the rock wall stuff thanx...this was my 1st one so i wasnt expectin it to be perfect
oh, but yeh, using the great stuff foam next time would look way cooler because it sets all bumpy and looks like real rock once you put the mortar onto it.
i actually used a bit of great stuff on this enclosure but not too much since i never used it...i made a couple lil decorations using it nd they turned out pretty good
i got the tiles from home depot for $8 and i even had left over tile to tile my other beardie tanks...you can use any tile for a house that has some texture to it so your lizard doesnt slip everywhere...i also smashed my tiles on the ground and did it mosaic style
that was toooooo cool, do you make custom enclosures? i'd love it if you could make one and i pay you for it. You should really think of making it a hobby ( you could make a lot of money =p!
i make custom enclosures for my own reptiles...im working on one now actually but ive had limited time to work on it so its taking longer than id like...i actually thought about making it into a side business but the problem with that is shipping...it would be a very heavy piece of furniture and im not sure how easy or expensive it would be to ship
1. Only the foam in a can is messy (I wore gloves)
2. I picked up a tile and slammed it against the floor of my garage and then placed it however I wanted. (My tile cutter was broken and Lowes and Home Depot are an hour away from me)
3. Liquid Nails is a glue that you use a caulking gun to get out of its tube. It's found in every hardware store.
magellan's brumating at the moment so his protein intake is much less now...hes been sleeping for 4 days straight now...when i wake him up next week for a bath and a feeding ill make a new one
WOW! You've inspired me to posibly do something like that for a future reptile of mine! SO COOL!

well i have a few questions,
1. Doesn't the styrofoam get messy?
2. How did you cut the ceramic tile for the bottom?
3. What are liquid nails?
