22 October 2011 It is looking much better now! Very nice in fact. However I still contend that it was a ridiculous place to locate a stadium more or less bang in the centre of a capital city!
No bo chyba nie zdrowy rozsadek...

I think the location is awful - it is almost in the centre of the city. There is no way the transport system could handle 50,000 people arriving at once nor will there be parking.
The stadium should have been built on the outskirts of Warsaw - or better - in the centre of the country!
alan. u r not familiar with the history of this legendary stadium. in 50ies when Poland played soviets at the dziesieciolecia stadium there was a crowd of 100 thousands spectators inthere. no problem to transport 50 thousands people to the match
OK tell me how. Even this morning the trams and buses were packed and that is without a match and without 50,000 people meeting in one place at one time.
I do not believe in national stadiums. I think fans all around the country have the right to watch the national team and not just those in the capital.
And I appreciate the fact that you are trying to make the best out of this stadium construction. Not many people care about Poland. I am Polish. I care.
I just saw the PiS minister of sport on the television. What a moron! She claimed that every European capital had city centre stadiums (I cannot think of a single one)
Furthermore she claimed the cost of building is the same wherever it occurs and that the value of the real estate will be the same.
And to think these idiots were running the economy of this country for two years!
who do you represent? a lobby of developers:) ? there are pros and cons to build the stadium in centre. on eof this yei things is: it will keeps the stadium vibrant even if there is not a football event at the time. simple: cinema, passages, shooping centre, butiques, spa etc. it makes it self-productive and profitable
I think perhaps you are missing something. A football stadium cannot be turned into a cinema or a shopping centre. The only other thing it can be used for is mass events such as concerts.
My suggestion is to do just that - to use it for development.
There is no pro about a stadium in the centre of the city. No-one has considered how 50,000 people are to be conveyed here in the space of 30 - 45 minutes before a game. The stadium should be in a place accessible to all fans!
For those that like to complain about the poor quality of my films this is your chance to have some input.
My Sony Cybershot - used for all films here but one - has given up on me. I do not want to buy a video camera - just a compact camera which I can carry around in my pocket.

Alan Heath.
I understand your concern.

I thank you for this video Alan.

I am more concerned about the location in this spot rather than if it will be ready on time. This is an awful place to build a major stadium!
I have a lot more videos about Poland as well!

Koofello 4 years ago
So why is it called the 1,000 year stadium?
alanheath 4 years ago
It is called 10year stadium. Built to celebrate 10 years of People's Republic of Poland.

Sorry, my mistake, now I understand.
