@Duec123 I have played both the flute and the recorder for years and I find the recorder much more difficult to play since once you get the sound out of the flute you can play almost everything. After six years of playing the recorder I'm still surprised if I manage to play highest notes so that they don't sound like a dying guinea pig. I actually brought my account back to life just to write this comment.

@IMMelsen1 I think she is playing it just fine. There are two different types of fingerings; German, which is easier and makes more sense, and English if you want to make playing more difficult. That looks like German one. Also, this video definitely doesn't suck.

@PoisonPinkPony The german fingering souns less good, some notes are out of tune therefore recorder players prefer the Baroque fingering. And this is indeed the German fingering.

@ireallydohateu i would recomend to not just blow the recorder but to say tu/du evrytime you play a note, this gives you the opportunity to play faster notes and regulate your breath better.

Very good, but...how come all the new recorder players nowadays just blow the notes? I have been playing for over 40 years and I was taught to 'T' or 'D' the notes to make them more precise. The way you are playing, the notes just run one into another...still good though

Keep on practising, recorder is awesome and is a respected instrument in europe, I've played it since a was a kid and I'm now 27. When you get become really good, you can play a lot faster and incorporate more notes to play more complex music. :)
