@stainless1911 I've been target shooting near 26 and omo for a few years, lately I've been getting harassed and its starting to piss me off. They either complain how I am shooting a rifle (misconception, you can't hunt with a rifle, target shooting is different) or its a D-bag hunter who thinks he owns the land, complaining that I am disrespecting the sport of hunting (take into account I shoot 50 yards off the main road adjacent to a high foot traffic no deer would come near that area to boot)
@Alexn1067 If you are on state land, or private property, but not on a state park or recreation area, you can target shoot. The 450 foot safety zone for roads and buildings only applies to hunting, not target shooting.
2 guys next to each other, both armed, both legal, one shooting a target with a backstop, the other shooting a deer, squirrel, turkey, or other game animal, and only the hunter is legal.
The guy shooting the target has more control of the situation.
There might be people on the same trails regardless of whether the hunter or the target shooter is shooting. Both are responsible for controlling thier fire.
Practicing tactical shooting from a car? Are you auditioning for the A-Team?

The lawmakers are making it so complicated. The only option is The Pit. :-(

Rules for the sake of making rules, and nothing more.
