I had my gallbladder taken out laprascopically in 2006. And I had to laugh at the "don't lift 10lb thing." My 3 year old was 1 at the time,lol. Glad everything went well with it.
a hard time rolling over in bed and changing clothes. The worst was when my b/f came over to try and cheer me up and he had me laughing so hard I wanted to scream at the same time because it hurt so bad... it was just a couple days after the surgery... I thought I was going to bust a stitch! lol so dont let anyone make you laugh until your completely healed!

I had it a couple of years ago and it scarred but not bad at all. One lady told me her scars eventually faded but everyone's skin is different. I just recently subscribed to you! & I looooove how your always smileing and you brighten up my day! My friend had to have her **gulbladder** removed and she kept Palmer's Cocoa Butter for Scaring and Stretch mark on it and it healed beautifully! You should really gob it on there too if you do try!

I am just recovering from my first gall bladder attack. I was in bed for five days. I am sorry to hear that you went through such a painful experience. I think it is wonderful that this community can be so supportive. We really do care and wish you well!
I love your videos, you're actually fun to watch [some people on here are so friggin' boring]! My brother had his gallbladder removed as well :-( It grossed me out to watch him walk around with a tube sticking out of his side! I'm glad you're doing well :-)
I just got out of the hospital this week myself.. I was treated in there for 8 days for an infection, like you. I was so happy to get that IV out & I'm sure you were too! Take care of yourself and take it easy; relax and rest. For your incision, try Bio Oil (Shoppers, Walmart maybe, etc). It contains purcellin oil (what birds have on their feathers lol) that will help lighten your scar. If you use it religiously it will help :) We love you!

my mother had a hystorectomy and she applied a product called 'Bio-Oil', which can heal scars and other blemishes. Im not sure whether they have this in America, but head to your chemist and look out for it.

as for scarring i had skin cancer and when it was removed my derm told me to massage it with cocoa butter. it's been about 2 years and my scar has decreased rapidly and is now back to almost normal.

I forgot to mention Papaya tablets (you can get them at Walgreens, they're chewables) they are great and help with digestion if you eat fatty foods or if you're unsure. Good luck! D.
So glad to hear you are well..I had my GB removed after having an infection of my pancreas due to the gallstones. I think we are the same skin tone & my scars are barely noticeable after 10+ years. If you are in the sun, wear sunscreen or cover up because if you tan so will the scars and they will stay that way. Then you'll need a skin lightening cream to reverse the effect. You can use Mederma for scares once they're completely healed. Stay positive and take good care! D.

On my scars when I was a kid, my mom used Cicalfate d'Avène. It's a creme and you apply it over the spots. That's really good and it's not very pricey. You're looking very healthy !
Hi! I've an idea for your pee bottle!! Since it's clean....invite people over on a hot day,offer them a nice cold drink and put a pee colored juice in it and take it and start puring the juice in there cups. See how many of your friends faint!!!!! Should be a ball!!

For the scars (at least once the incision has healed)...cocoa butter. I swear by the stuff. It's great on scars, rough spots like elbows, and stretch marks too. Palmers has a whole line of lotions, creams and sticks. They sell them at Walgreens, Rite Aid, etc. and they smell delicious! Stay strong and keep smiling. Thank you for all your help. ^_^

mix tameric and milk together to make a paste and put it on your scar for 15-20min twice a day and believe it or not it will remove the scar. But make sure the skin is healed before you put it on,i'd hate for the tameric to burn you.

Whatever you do, don't expose it to the sun. The sunlight will dry your skin of it's natural oils which is what keeps the elasticity in your skin... will not be good for it whatsoever, and only make it worse! Gall bladder surgery bites, I had a hernia repair and the gall bladder removal all at once, so I have NO CLUE what part was more painfull LOL, but it sucked cheeseballs *blah* Glad to see you're up and moving :) Possitive outlook is always the best, as I have seen, that's natural for you!
Aww, Koren! It's great to see that you're back up and moving around now! For scarring, try Mederma, it's OTC. Also, ask your dermatologist for possible prescription creams that will work. I hope that helps! <3

Hey Koren!! Just found out TODAY that you were sick, and I'm glad U R doin' better! And, hey- don't worry about the scars! You can cover them with clothes for the most part, right? When you can't, they'll make a great conversation piece! ;o) (I've got plenty of scars, myself. I'm just glad that the majority are not on my face! Much worse on the face than on your belly, right?) I just got out of the hospital this week myself.. I was treated in there for 8 days for an infection, like you. I was so happy to get that IV out & I'm sure you were too! Take care of yourself and take it easy; relax and rest. For your incision, try Bio Oil (Shoppers, Walmart maybe, etc). It contains purcellin oil (what birds have on their feathers lol) that will help lighten your scar. If you use it religiously it will help :) We love you!

my mother had a hystorectomy and she applied a product called 'Bio-Oil', which can heal scars and other blemishes. Im not sure whether they have this in America, but head to your chemist and look out for it.

as for scarring i had skin cancer and when it was removed my derm told me to massage it with cocoa butter. it's been about 2 years and my scar has decreased rapidly and is now back to almost normal.

I forgot to mention Papaya tablets (you can get them at Walgreens, they're chewables) they are great and help with digestion if you eat fatty foods or if you're unsure. Good luck! D.

So glad to hear you are well..I had my GB removed after having an infection of my pancreas due to the gallstones. I think we are the same skin tone & my scars are barely noticeable after 10+ years. If you are in the sun, wear sunscreen or cover up because if you tan so will the scars and they will stay that way. Then you'll need a skin lightening cream to reverse the effect. You can use Mederma for scares once they're completely healed. Stay positive and take good care! D.

Summary: Oil seems to be the answer to scars
(keep them from happening by giving your skin the elasticity while pulled by incisions)..
Some rave on BIO OIL, some swear by EMU oil...then the old fashioned Cocoa butter and
my favorite, vit E oil. I'd put a single drop of PURE lavender EO in about 1/4 oz of
Vit.Eoil,shake it up well & apply it (Lav has a soothing & antibacterial quality). Or use VitE oil capsules & apply directly.

On my scars when I was a kid, my mom used Cicalfate d'Avène. It's a creme and you apply it over the spots. That's really good and it's not very pricey. You're looking very healthy !

For the scars: wait till the stitches are gone and then massage gently twice a day with rose oil. Worked like a charm for me ;-)

For the scars (at least once the incision has healed)...cocoa butter. I swear by the stuff. It's great on scars, rough spots like elbows, and stretch marks too. Palmers has a whole line of lotions, creams and sticks. They sell them at Walgreens, Rite Aid, etc. and they smell delicious! Stay strong and keep smiling. Thank you for all your help. ^_^

Hi! Glad you are on the road to recovery! :D I wanted to comment that I had my thyroid removed 4 years ago and I have a big scar from it on my neck. If you have scarring don't worry it will fade over time. Believe me I know it sucks but also remember it's definitely not as noticeable to other people as it is to you. Hang in there! <3 Archelle

mix tameric and milk together to make a paste and put it on your scar for 15-20min twice a day and believe it or not it will remove the scar. But make sure the skin is healed before you put it on,i'd hate for the tameric to burn you.

hi there. i just recently got turned on to your videos through a friend and i am glad i did. i also had my gall bladder out. i had it done laproscopically. the 5 little incisions and it went well. just use the vitamin e oil and it will work wonders. you'll feel well soon and heal up and the scars will be less visible in time. take care. ciao for now.

Whatever you do, don't expose it to the sun. The sunlight will dry your skin of it's natural oils which is what keeps the elasticity in your skin... will not be good for it whatsoever, and only make it worse! Gall bladder surgery bites, I had a hernia repair and the gall bladder removal all at once, so I have NO CLUE what part was more painfull LOL, but it sucked cheeseballs *blah* Glad to see you're up and moving :) Possitive outlook is always the best, as I have seen, that's natural for you!

make sure that you keep the area out of the sun, i'm not sure if a bathing suit on you would show that area or not, but that makes it turn pink and it's nearly impossible to get rid of.
