No because you have an 9800gtx+ AND it is black edition which you can OC more and it comes higher factory OC. A better one

your card is GREAT so is mine but yours is slightly better however ours is the best single card from the 9 series the top of the line

and now they are at 130 so you can tri sli

now from GTX 260 and up they are better but at the time I bought this the GTX cards were at 300-600 so ya

Are you messing with me ? come on the GTX 295 IS the best card from Nvidia, it has two GPUS in one and I think you can do dual-sli, which is haveing 4 gpus in two cards. But I dont think it is worth it until more games support 4 cards

The 9600gt is better, the 9600gso IS a 8800GS they just renamed it,

9600GT has higher frequencies in everything *I think

No the 9600gso IS the 8800GS I am not to sure you can SLI a 8500gt with the

9600gso (or do u mean 8500gt/8500gt)

I dont think that SLIing the cards will be better than the 9800gtx+ but if I am worng and it is better it is still not as reliable because not all games support SLI and the extra card wont be use, but in a few months ALL games will support SLI :)

but sorry for Out of topics , but i have install a 9800GTX+ POV Artic Cooling Limited Edition. and in my Friend PC is 60000 Mark 3D 2001 and 80000 Mark if OC to 790 , but after i try on my PC why is only 30000 mark 3D 2001 ? is bottleneck ??? my motherboard is P35-S3L and it's support PCI-E 2 ,a and i Use a 2.8 GHz Core 2 Duo E6300 OC. and My Friend use a 3.3 GHz E8400 and a P45 DFI Mobo. and with same type of Ram (DDR 2 800)

your CPU is not crappy but I dont know that much about Intel CPUs but I seriously doubt that XP to Vista would have such a dramatic drop in the score maybe the PSU

but , in DMC4 i get 175Fps , COD4 115FPs , COD5 80FPs , L4D 80Fps . looks like my PSU not bottleneck , i think a little problem. ha ha ha , thx for help me. and is still better than my 8500GT Extreme. ha ha

9600 gso is as vaedriah said, an 8800 gs renamed to spur sales. however there are key differences. the 9600 gso has a 192bit memory bus where as the 9600gt has a 256 bit memory bus. because of this difference the memory bandwidth us a decent amount better on the 9600 gt. but performance wise the 9600 gt is only 2-5 fames per second better in most games.

I was going to SLI my 9600GSO but a single GPU is more reliable in some games and than SLI'd cards but then ofcourse more and more games use SLI and for the price IDK
