gotta say, saw them in Chicago, and it's the best show I've ever seen. i've seen Bright Eyes, MMJ, M. Ward and hundreds of other shows/bands, Monsters of Folk takes the cake.

they were so good in london, i've seen conor five times in his various appearances and M.ward twice and this was their best ever. Incredible, I'm not a huge MMJ fan but Jim James blew me away...get a ticket they are on stage for about 3 hours playing 30 songs and it is truly breathtaking, Conor is playing some really rare bright eyes songs too (Big Picture, Kathy With a K).

M. Ward is awesome, but Jim James is phenomenal. MMJ might just be the greatest American rock band since CCR.

But, its different styles. If I am in the mood for a refined Bob Dylan sound I go to M. Ward. If I want some rocking tunes or am looking for a Neil Young type of night, I go with Jim.
