i have a problem, a while ago i had an issue with the printer scanner not being found by my imac. i recently updated to snow leopard and uninstalled and reinstalled hp that came with the printer. i went on the hp website and there was a post from february stating that there was some driver issue and was not compatible with snow leopard. i can print but not scan. the website also said that if you use the image capture app that it would work but all it says is unknown error occurred. can you help
@sacatayo i'm sorry but i only used this printer on windows xp and later win 7 so i'm not familiar with any other os... you should ask for assistance on hp directly... i'm pretty sure they have e-mail where you can ask that kind of things... good luck ;)
@SOADDDIE hi, yes it is possible.. when u decide to print something click on the print... (or just CTRL+p) and then click on properties -> color -> chose *Print in grayscale and select Black print cartridge only.. ;)
i think i had a similar problem once... i think that is not possible if the replace cartidge alert is shown...
so when you start getting the replace cartidge soon alert and you don't mean to replace it some time soon i suggest you to start printing with black cartridge only...
hey i need your help so what happen was that i got the printer but i lost the software that came with the printer so is there another way for me to reinstale the software
you can download the drivers on the HP official site but for the software i think you should contact them via email.... maybe they can somehow send you the software on cd's

aw I formulated wrong the question ;D
2 cartidges are empty, and it says that I must replace them to print, is it possible to print using only black ink?

Does it have the CD/DVD direct printing?

No, this one doesn't have that.
The model that came out before this one, C5280 supports CD, DVD printing.
