I saw him several times at the DC Improv. He was always approachable and hung around to talk to the audience and take pictures. He was such a sweet man and I loved every one of his shows I saw. He will be missed. R. I. P.

Wow, I was at that show in Kzoo at the State Theatre. Almost didn't make the show cause we hung out at Harvey's next door for several hours before the show and I had to take a leak.  The HBO security guys said I had 30 seconds to piss before they closed the doors... I pee'd so hard I think I broke my plumbing, but I made it.. somehow. I've been a fan of his for a long time and had NO idea he had died. I remember he had been sick ... but.. wow, just floored.

I love comedy. Stanhope, Hicks, Pryor, Wright, hell even some of Dane Cook's and Gabriel Iglacias' (sp?) bit's make me laugh. Schimmel isn't for me.
