She should maybe work on getting her triple jumps consistent instead of practicing quads. She doesn't need a quad to win, she needs to not fall.

that's right. and i think that's what sets all the champions and the runner-ups apart... the champs are consistent... and the runner-ups are 2nd best. Maybe because she's so inconsistent, she isn't as great as we'd like to say she is. For example, if u can do a beautiful triple axel once, does that make you all that great if you fall on 85% of those triple axels? If ur good one one day, but bad on the rest, hard to really say you're all that great. Sadly, she's got a lot of US hype/popularity

Regardless of personal preference, I don't see how anyone can deny that she has NEVER done a clean long program... considering how long she had been competing, that's a significant statement. I don't think anyone denies her talent, but isn't it ok for people to be judged based on their performance, not just their potential? Isn't that the point of competitive sport...?

It's clean - it just looks cheated because of the way she landed...Plus - even if it was a quarter cheated, it would still be counted as fully rotated if it was in competition. There are no deductions for landing a quarter turn short.

no, its not clean. its still pretty amazing tho! look extremely closely at her landing she turns a little bit on the ice. it wasn't a perfect backward edge on her landing. but this jump is still great! i shouldn't be talking when i'm only working on a double axel

the "Cheat" your seeing is done after the clean rotation is finished. The rotation is clean she just couldn't check-out fast enough. Plus I was told she hurt herself doing during that practice on that jump.

not even close to being cheated... the american media showed her practice quad a few times in slow motion where it looks as clearly rotated as it does here. Not really worth arguing over, considering she never did it in competition. It's a great feat, even if you think (for whatever unknown reason) that it's cheated.

no you guys she wasnt even on the ice yet....when her body is like dipped forwward, obvioulsey thats when her blade actually hit the ice because thats when the force like hti her and hence the like swingy landing or whatever, its so obvioulsye clean its like you guys are just ready to beat her down or whatever (not you personally just in general lol)

And, in any case, Sasha never came close to landing a Quad Sal in competition. So she clearly never HAD the jump.
